Just released a new series called Avery Snow- A Paranormal Series - vol 1 - A New Witch in Town. Make sure you check it out.
I am passionate about creating. Whether that is in the form of writing, painting, drawing, hair styling and makeup. I enjoy listening to music and playing video games. I love to read every chance I get. I read a variety of genre's. I am married and we have two beautiful boys. I love anything supernatural and I have an affinity for vampires.
What has Sarah gotten herself into? Life used to be rather simple, the worst thing she had to endure was her parents’ creepy house, and the weird cat. Dumped into a frightening new world filled with things and beings who go bump in the night, Sarah is diving head-first into the deep end and it may cost her her life in book 2 of the Immortal Island Series, The Vampire Masquerade. From a deadly Masquerade Party where she receives the shock of finding the man she loves, but he doesn’t remember her to enemies becoming almost nice, Sarah is definitely in WAY over her head, but the stakes are higher than ever before and she needs to find help wherever she can get it from. Will she survive? Will she keep the most important thing in her life safe? And what’s up with Ambrose? And Jeff, and Erick, and Chase? Will she ever see her parents again or acquire a taste for blood? And, last question-How does S. L. Ross come up with this stuff?
From the beginning with the build up to the Vampire Masquerade Ball to the biggest change EVER in Sarah’s life, S. L. Ross writes with a fury, creating plots, subplots, twists, turns and romantic triangles that will keep your head spinning. If she hadn’t created Sarah to be so strong, the poor girl would crumble by page 5! When an author can make you feel for the bad guy, while still keeping him just the wrong side of good, you know you are have been made a captive and willing audience, indeed!
Book 3, here I come!
I want to thank S. L. Ross for allowing me the opportunity to read about and discover Sarah’s world!
This is the second book in the Immortal Island series. I have really grown to equally like and hate Sarah. One minute I think she is an awesome, strong woman and the next she can be a confusing, sniveling snot. That being said, it makes for an interesting read.
Sarah goes to the Vampire Masquerade as she was instructed to do even though she was sure that she was walking to her death. She has to lie to Jeff so that he doesn't know where she is going.
While there, she finds out that Chase's mind has been erased and he has no recollection of her. She comes across Ambrose as the "chase" starts. We get through the weekend and end up in another whole bundle of trouble.
Trouble seems to follow Sarah everywhere, it doesnt change when she finds out at the Masquerade weekend she is expecting a pleasant surprise. It turns into a bigger surprise than she thought.
We go through the rest of the story following Sarah and the trouble that follows her path. We are along for the ride with, Chase, Erick, Ambrose, and all the others that get wrapped up in her life.

** I was given this book for free, in exchange for a review **
This book picks up right where Spellbound, Immortal Island #1 leaves off.
Sarah is invited to The Vampire Masquerade, where there are mortals and not. If you survive the weekend you win, if not, well… Ambrose is there and since their last meeting at the dress shop has taken a BIG interest in Sarah. Erick also appears to help Sarah navigate thru the Masquerade.
This is the fight for her life. Can she survive? Will she be strong enough? Will she ever see Chase? What happened to Jeff? And why is Erick always there when she needs him? And will Ambrose ever get a clue?
Some of the character are changing and shifting. You see the development and growth in them. Yes they might be vampires, but they were human at one time too, that is not lost on them, just forgotten sometimes. Sarah grows too, she realizes it’s not about her any more, there are too many other people in the big picture.
This was a great read! I really enjoyed the story. Keeps you on the edge all the way! Of course there is a love triangle, but it is a little different than others. Looking forward to fallen the last one in the series. S L Ross is a new writer and I think you will love this series if you give her a chance.
This book was easier to put together than the first. Villains are a lot of fun to create. The masquerade brings out the real personalities of the characters. You get to know who they are a little more. Why they do the things they do and not all villains have a cold heart.
The Vampire Masquerade picks up right where spellbound ends. And again Mrs. Ross Keeps you guessing with her plots and twists. It keeps you asking... What has Sarah gotten into, Will Chase remember, Why is Eric always popping up.. and what is it about Ambrose that I like?? That being said I having mixed feelings about Sarah!! at times I love her and others I want to slap her! I am hooked to this series and cant wait to see what happens next!
Talk about twists and turns and series reveals!!! OH Poor Sarah decisions, decisions. I am so team Erick now! Great Job SL Ross I am looking forward to book 3!!!
