This is a beautifully illustrated reference book that I enjoyed in one entertaining setting. It provides an overview of the basics of moon energy cycles and briefly describes how it might be applied to different areas of life. It’s practical in that it provides a moon chart to find moon cycles of your birth and other important dates, then reads like a horoscope based on your moon sign (like a sun sign horoscope).

I was hoping it would cover more about how moon cycles relate to women’s menstrual cycles, fertility, childbirth as this is one of the chapters they cover and what many moon folk tales and traditional women’s wisdom claims. However I was surprised it only breezed over this topic in a few paragraphs, not offering any new information or citations.

It’s a fun book for a overview of the moon cycles, but I missed a feeling a legitimacy from citations or facts, and so it felt a bit like a purely entertainment book.

This book is insanely accurate, very educational and so eye opening! I feel as though Ive connected with a part of me that I was blind to for so many years and now with all this new knowledge I look forward to becoming In tune with my emotions, relationships, work, health and mind and how the moon effects it all!
It’s a must buy! So happy it presented itself to me at my favorite little book store!

Although I AM neither a trained nor certified Western Astrologer, over the years, a few clients have asked me to do an Astrological Analysis for them. If I do say so myself, my consultations were highly accurate.

That said, I have always found it frustrating that someone wants to know if they are romantically compatible with another individual, based solely on the Sun-Sign (or, Star Sign, or, simply put, the Sign you look up if you read daily horoscopes). For the record, to determine ultimate romantic compatibility, one needs to know the Sun, Rising, Moon, Venus and Mars Signs of ALL parties. And the most important one is the Moon.

Well, that is, to say, if you want to share a life, a home and a bed with that person (or people; I do not judge). And if you want to have children with them, the Moon Sign is also a must.

What I especially loved about this book is that it focused primarily on Moon-Sign characteristics in the areas of Love, Career, Money, Health and Well-Being. In addition, one of my personal favorite sections was the Moon-Sign characteristics in relation to your Sun-Sign. For example, my Sun-Sign is Capricorn and my Natal Moon-Sign is Aquarius. In this book, it lists the combination keynote as "Far-seeing" and gives it a two-star rating, meaning "At odds with yourself." More than I care to admit, that is a highly accurate assessment.

I also enjoyed the chapter on gardening, via the Moon, as well as flowers that have a special affinity with the Moon, such as Lunaria and silver-leaved Artemisia.

It is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to know about their Inner Self and their "night" personality. It may get a bit too technical for the layperson, but if that happens to you, stick through it. This is a book that also lends itself to periodic rereading.

Given the Witch that I AM, I would only read this book on a Monday, which in Magickal Traditions is the "Moon Day."

I found it quite fascinating
It had lots of info from a whole bunch of topics
Like phases of the moon, and how to measure which phase you were born under and a brief description of typical personalities
It went a bit into folklore & mythology
It went into moon placement of your zodiac chart
And how different moon zodiacs could be prosperous or you may want to be cautious on multitudes of topics

It’s definitely sparked me to investigate & understand the moon/moon zodiac/moon phases and how to identify further.

The only reason why it’s not getting 5 stars is the charts on how to figure out your zodiac, or moon phase was quite confusing in the back with mistypos in the actual chart. I just think there could of been an easier way to display it. I had to look online for these results to apply them to my own personal readings.

Wow, the typos that exist in this book are crazy - it's literally missing the first word in the first sentence of the book! One of the charts at the back says "FG" instead of "FQ" a thousand times (not even exaggerating)! Another chart says "FQ" twice instead of "FQ" & "LQ" - I'm absolutely surprised how major these are.

That aside, there are definitely some better intros into the power of the Moon. There is some major WOO in this book that had me rolling my eyes. I did enjoy reading what my and my SO's moon sign meant, and the chapter on business was interesting... But that was about it. I typically love books on this topic, but this was a dud.

I have mixed feelings with that book. It shows an interesting topic which I completely didn´t know anything about and has gorgeous pastel color illustrations. On the other hand, it talks about some medical topics that supposed to be true but despite its truthfulness, he doesn´t provide a bibliography in which his affirmations are based. Even though, the book gives a lot of information about the moon and how it acts on us and you can see the relationship between the moon cycle and the menstrual cycle.

Manifesting is a big part of my life. I’m always reaching beyond the stars and working with the moon cycles to harvest my most inner desires.
📖This is one of the many books I’m always going back to for guidance on how to harness the energy of the moon. It goes into great depth of the lunar phases, short and long term goals. It discusses each zodiac sign and helps you cultivate your own magic with the current moon phase.

Packed with a lot of information when it comes to the moon and overall I love all the illustrations in the book. One big thing that I didn’t like is that the book was full of grammar mistakes. My English is not perfect and there can be mistakes sometimes, but the book is full of it.

One of the better explanations of the moon and everything behind it. I was actually beginning to understand what she was talking about!

It's a decent reference book but aside from that it's rather fluffy and pointlessly gendered.

light on magic big on astrology

there was actually some interesting stuff in there, spread between the... manure, about folklore, moon goddesses, and studies done on childbirth and lunar cycles, things like that, but it was mostly about signs

Foi o melhor livro sobre o tema que li até agora.
Um livro mais pequeno que os restantes que li sobre a lua, e no entanto foi aquele com o qual mais aprendi. Muito interessante, com tabelas para consulta e muito bem estruturado.
Gostei bastante.

Very informative. I already knew a little about the phases and effects on humans, as well as our planet itself, but this gave me MUCH more information. Lots of details.
