Entertaining and informative, this manual helps owners understand the noises their cat makes, what makes one cat friendly and the other not, how a typical cat adjusts to new owners and a new home, plus much more. Black-and-white instructive line drawings are included.

A solid 3 stars (maybe 3 1/2) for a good book about cats and their behavior. It provides a general overview of various aspects. The title is a bit misleading, as the book covers more than communication. Chapters and sections within the chapters are short, without going into a lot of detail. I would have preferred more content on a narrower topic. If you only read one book on cats and their behavior, this shouldn't be the one. But it's a nice supplement to other books on the field.
Some solid advice and interesting information in this book. It is a bit dated in places, though. I read this one during my lunch breaks at work, as it was easy to put down and pick up again.
