Ding dong, the wicked witch is dead. Unfortunately, Meg killed him. With magic. A definite no-no where the Witches' Council is concerned. If the Council can prove it, she'll be put to death. To make matters worse, she also absorbed a hell of a lot of the wicked witch's power and memories and she's barely able to contain them. What's a good witch to do? Rely on her shifters, of course. Michael and Rudy show every sign of sticking with her through this mess and Michael's proven to have contacts that just might help. Wonderful of them. Except relying on them means that, Meg also has to figure out where she fits in their relationship. Is she a third wheel? Or could they really make a happy threesome? Ready or not, Meg's two for one deal has turned into more than a bargain. More Than a Bargain continues the story of Meg, Michael, and Rudy from " Two for One Deal" in Howl, with Raine Weaver and Jeigh Lynn, also available in print. Publisher's This book is an m/m/f menage and contains sexual content that may be offensive to some m/m sexual contact, menage scenes.
Jet is a writer of sexual fantasy with a firm belief that all men are at least partially gay, that vampires are just people with a liquid diet and shapeshifters live on every block.
This is a continuation of Jet Mykles' short story "Leashed: Two for One Deal" in the anthology Howl. Meaning it picks up like a week after the previous short ended. It was great to return to these characters, and see that there are future books that continue their story.
So, maybe I should have called these books urban fantasy, not paranormal romance. Or some strange blend of both. They're heavy on the romance/erotica side of things, and it looks like the m/m/f threesome is staying together for the long run, but, unlike most paranormal romances, these books seem to continually focus on the same characters. Maybe like Kelley Armstrong's version of urban fantasy? (Because there is a short that focuses on one of Meg's sisters.) Maybe I should stop trying to box things up? *g*
Jet Mykles is a Goodreads author, and I noticed she listed Laurell K. Hamilton as one of her influences. I can see that, but in a good way. Not in the "copycat" way, but in the ... "I like your style" sort of way, if that makes sense. Michael and Rudy's past is fleshed out more in this one, and the guys remind me of some of Anita Blake's men. Deep dark pasts, sexually tinged, and not completely pleasant.
Love the characters and I was glad to see more of them. Plot-wise, this story is the aftermath of "bad witch" Roland's death. Highly Recommended. Believe me, I'll be into book three before morning. *g*
Good second book. It starts like 5 days from the first book and they're trying to deal with Meg's Roland problem. This she shares with Michael and Rudy and starts to see some changes with what's it's doing with Michael. She also learns their whole story, warts and all. I've already started book #3 and it appears to start a week or so later. I'm glad they didn't switch couples or triplets or whatever you call it, because I want to see more of their story.
I was cleaning out more books and found this one..
I remembered why I stopped reading it. I didn't like how the best friend was just tossed away.. The story never went back to it either. I finished it this time and can now give it back.. Not interested in reading another in this series.. If there is more...
