Pretty good book, but as someone who hasn't been fishing before, it would have been helpful to read his fundamentals book first (which he suggests).

Lots of helpful tips for the theory behind where salmon are, what tides to follow, and the history of salmon sportfishing in BC.

It's a good book, with easy reading, and funny illustrations.

It mostly describes the ocean fishing from the boat. I don't have a boat.
