This book gave me such a deeper understanding and appreciation for the partnership you can have with your horse. Using the exercises in the book and changing how I ride according to how Schaffer suggests has changed how my horse and I ride and communicate. This is an ABSOLUTE must have for any horse enthusiast!!

for me this book synthesized the Hunt/Dorrance philosophy (though it isn't mentioned, it was on my mind) with traditional dressage so that i ended up with better technical skills and a practical way to apply empathy for the horse. it made dressage doable. very important book for me and my horses.
