The title When it Rains seems a poor choice as its irrelevant to the entire story and the description for this novel is a little misleading - its part of the story but not quite. Have to wonder if the publisher actually read the book at all.
For me, the storyline is a little too melodramatic and most of the characters didn't really ring true. Honey failed to gain my sympathy with her whining and any likeablity I worked up for Jay dissappeared with his last thoughts. Kendra was definately the least sympathetic but also the most real with genuine motivation and well developed character.
There is quite a bit of unexpected explicit sex and language. I don't care about language but in this circumstance it just wasn't authentic alot of the time, my impression was that the author felt she had to throw in a swear word every two pages to "keep it real".
Okay for a quick mindless read on the train home maybe.

The only thing Jay will do for Honey is break her heart. He is going to cheat on her. He is going to leave her devastated because she will have opened her heart to this manwhore. He is a pig. He will waste her time and her pretty.

The title, 'When It Rains' seems appropriate since the whole book is nothing but a downpour.

The story is way melodramatic and the characters are either too perfect they can't be true or so flawed they can't be real. The main female protagonist, Honey, is so whiny it almost felt as if I were reading a really bad Young Adult novel. Her and Jay act like over-sexed teenagers because all they talk about is how bad they want to have sex with one another. They are supposed to be in love but no one that I know who is in love talks like that twenty four seven. They never talked about each other's qualities so I never truly bought their connection. This led to me disconnecting emotionally from the story which made the overall experience through the pages a major let down.

I don't bad bad language as long as it isn't overdone and authentic, but at times it feels a bit much. It's awkward in certain parts which makes the story feel watered down in all of the wrong ways.

Fine for a beach read or if you just need something to hold you over until a good book comes out but not something I'd ever recommend.

I have been anticipating this story of Honey and Jay since first reading there two ships passing in the the night in 'Intimate Intentions.' Honey had a secret and Jay had a secret. Who secret was to burst forth first kept me reading on. But the truth of what was going on between the two of them fooled no one but them selves. Jay had a lot of growing up and tough choices to make to claim the woman he loved and be the man he was destine to me. Honey needed to face her past and put it in its place to have the love that she so desired. Her traumatic past is not one that can be easily forgotten. In the end loves passion makes is mark and takes control.

Now, the question that it leave you with after reading, is what is in store for Natalia and Sterling. Waiting for that story to surface.

Great writing style and good storyline, but the awkward use of profanity watered the quality down. Also, the two main characters that were supposedly so hopelessly in love only talked about how sexy the other was and how badly they wanted to screw. Outside of that, I had no clue what they saw in each other. So I found it hard to empathize with the characters, and equally difficult to delve into this story emotionally. Talented author, cheap writing.

This book was really good I enjoy it. What erk my nerves was the ending where Jay was thinking about Kendra giving him good head just because Honey head game haven't reach kendra level . Smh it's like he will never learn. Like he got his son back and the women of his dreams why mess that up? Sometimes I can't understand some men.

This book is beyond great! I think the title was a great choice,I see that it was used as a metaphore in the book. I strongly like this book although I wouldn't reccomend it to children under the age of 16.
