This trio of naughty stories, centering around three Chicago girlfriends who are seeking men who know how to please a woman, includes Angie Daniels's Fienin', in which a nightclub owner, who just wants sex and not a relationship, gets her wish when she meets a hot architect. Original.
Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.
In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.
I decided to give this one a try after a reader on Dear Author encouraged everyone not to judge this book by its cover. Alas, I should have trusted my gut. In short: 3 best friends with big asses bemoan the state of their love lives. The instant -nay, the second- they finish their meals, men come out of the woodwork. Naturally, they're gorgeous, well-hung and aggressively interested in these women. Because when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face you get sprung. It was just a bit too much wish fulfillment for me. Just a bit. Kimberly Kaye-Terry's Just Lay Down was the best of the three, but all of the stories suffered from corny dialogue and absurd scenarios. Also, I'm pretty sure that a relationship built on a big ass is bound to crumble.
This is a set of short stories that follows a trio of dissatisfied friends. The most daring of the three, Simone, comes up with a scheme in which each places a personal ad with the key letters "BSA" . The requirement is that the respondents must be able to say what the acronym stands for. I really enjoyed the adventures that the three ladies experience as they endeavor to find that man that can satisfy them. Each of them have a unique background and reason for why they are feeling the way that they do. I did think it was kind of lame that all three guys figured out the answer in pretty much the same way. One of my pet peeves is the usage of the term "baby" as a term of endearment. Unfortunately, I'm finding this to be a growing trend in contemporary romances. This book had an excessive amount of usage of this word (especially during the sex scenes) . Another peeve of mine is the over usage of the title within the story itself. Ideally I like to see it no more than twice and preferably near the end of the story. This was not a problem until I reached the final story of the book. Then I couldn't even count how many times it was thrown in. It was almost like the author didn't want the readers to forget what the title was. Other than these few personal complaints, I found the entire book to be enjoyable. The characters were very easy to root for. I found myself laughing at some witty retorts and phrases. I would recommend this one to anyone that is looking for a light but still steamy read.
Definitely Proves The Old Adge...Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover
Who could resist a book with a title like...and after reading the rave reviews, my curiosity was peaked...I am ASHAMED to say that I enjoyed this novel! It was definitely, HOT, SPICY and as FUNNY as all get out! Although some of the sexual activity was a little explicit at times, it wasn't "over-the-top", like in the previous books I read which considering the title I just knew it would be! I could have done with out some of the foul language, yet again, but it was still an enjoyable read. The characters were quite memorable and the plot was surprisingly believable and flowed smoothly.~~~~~~~The novel begins with three best friends discussing their lack of good luvin' in their lives. They're discouraged by the fact that they aren't having good sex. And can't find a man to satisfy their physical as well as their emotional needs. The women decide at different times and in different ways to place a personal ad stating that the only man who could posssibly satisfy them was the one who could guess what B.S.A means. Which takes us on three very intriguing and thrilling rides. It will definitely keep you turning the pages. The men in this novel were sexy as all get out and definitely knew how to take care of their women and each just happen to be the right man for the job at hand. I often found myself LOL at the couples antics and witty dialogue throughout novel. There were some great lines in this story. All three tales are IR (BW/WM). It turned out to be a sweet, very erotic, yet still romantic tale.
EXPLICIT. You know what you are getting from the very first sentence of this book. As is the case with most anthologies, some of the stories are better than others. Some of the characters are believable(although most of the stories aren't), but it was fun quick read.
I almost returned it, but I changed my mind and I am glad I did. These ladies were in need of real love, the second time around and ended up finding that Forever love. This book shows that love is persistent and it will not be denied. Y'all read this book!
Three friends, desperate for real men, decide to place ads asking for the definition of BSA. Each woman has issues that she must deal with to find happiness. Explicit adult fiction. http://www.bookcrossing.com/journal/5...
Each story was different but equally good. One didn't out shine the other from an objective standpoint it depend on whom you like best as an author. I tend to love Kimberly Kaye's writings the most. But again, equally good and entertaining.
