Never satisfied with what he has, a man trades away a knife, a shoe, and even his wife, all the while wondering if he has made a good trade, in this new edition of a classic favorite.
Read because I wanted to see some of Haas' work, as she's been recommended to me. Cute nonsense folk song, I guess. I don't read music though... and I wasn't charmed enough to feel motivated to look this up on youtube.
The kids both LOVE this book. It's very sing-songy - which makes sense since it's from a folk song. I like the illustrations. Very cute read out loud book.
Pre-K-Kindergarten students would enjoy hearing this book read aloud. This book is great to teach sequencing (like the napping house), phonemic awareness, and music. Really cute!
