Read because I wanted to see some of Haas' work, as she's been recommended to me. Cute nonsense folk song, I guess. I don't read music though... and I wasn't charmed enough to feel motivated to look this up on youtube.

This original rhyme is written as though it were a traditional nursery rhyme; with very cute illustrations by Irene Haas.

The kids both LOVE this book. It's very sing-songy - which makes sense since it's from a folk song. I like the illustrations. Very cute read out loud book.

Pre-K-Kindergarten students would enjoy hearing this book read aloud. This book is great to teach sequencing (like the napping house), phonemic awareness, and music. Really cute!

The illustrations were the strong point on this book of poetry. I found the ongoing poem to be simply boring. It was a serial poem. Just boring.

There are some books that make me scratch my head and go, "Huh?" This was one of those books.
