Physics is the Segre family business, and Gino's enthusiasm for science is very natural and infectious. This book takes the reader on a surprising tour of the cosmos, starting within the human body and ending at the limits of the universe - using the concept of temperature as a guide.

An entertaining book of historical trivia. The tone is plenty corny, and this sort of book is quickly being rendered obsolete by websites. But all the stories are sourced and documented, so you don't need to worry about any bushwa. It's a pleasant diversion.
I am loving this book since I am learning a lot from it. The Heat Transfer field in which I am working and doing my research and my master studies was not something I felt necessary until I started reading this one. I feel like a very cool geek when I read this book.
This book was a freebie on Kindle. I read through it really quickly and learned some stuff...kind of interesting, but not something I will remember until the end of my life.
