“Long-Term Care” by the successful financier Mark J. Orr is a very helpful and informative book dedicated to people who are helping elderly loved ones in their lives. It is an invaluable source of information about what you need to do for your financial situation to see your aging family through to a comfortable retirement.
I really appreciate the in-depth research that this author has done to figure out what we need to do in order to ensure that we can easily afford long-term care. This is an outstanding book which I highly recommend to anyone who has an elderly person in their life and also to those who would like to learn how to use their finances to their best advantage when they themselves become older.

When we think of retirement, we generally imagine the time we will have in our hands to do all the things we have been delaying in our life. That is true, but we also need to be realistic and know that we will probably require money to provide long-term care for ourselves. Having this in mind before retiring will allow us to do some planning and follow some strategies to be financially safe and relaxed when we finish working. This excellent book, Long-term Care: The Elephant Lurking in Your Retirement, written by author Mark J. Orr CFP provides those strategies and helps readers take advantage of insurance and different government programmes to know, plan and secure the money we will need to care for ourselves.

I'm young but I want to be prepared for savings and retirement. My family is made up of a lot of service and blue-collar workers who didn't have the chance to save or have a good retirement plan. Being the first in my family to step away from that background I know I have a lot to learn. With the pandemic and losing some close, older family members I realized how important it is for caretakers and families to know about options as well. Long Term Care: The Elephant Lurking in Your Retirement is just that kind of resource. The author, Mark Orr, has created a wonderful book full of experiences and true real-world advice when it comes to long care, elderly, and what it can do to retirement plans for everyone involved. I highly recommend reading this book for yourself and for your loved ones.

Long term care
This is such an important topic, and there was so much information about long-term care I did not know or that I was mistaken on. For example, the policies being put in place took me by surprise. Also, some of the tax brackets and rules were surprising as well. This book is great for us late 30s early 40s that really should be looking at how we have our plans set for the long term care needs of our future. We also need backup plans and the author of this book did a fantastic job of explaining the topic through various scenarios and tables and graphs. I highly recommend this book, the sooner the better!

Planning for long-term care is often taken for granted by many people and that's also what I realized as I was reading this book, Long-Term Care : The Elephant Lurking in Your Retirement Mark J. Orr CFP. So many good information has been shown here that I was so grateful to indulge, including the set of strategies one should do in terms of unpredictable situations. It truly made me realize how important it is to plan ahead not just for the brighter future but also for the future where undesired situations happen. The strategies discussed here are very realistic, straight-to-the point and overall very informative.

Packed with useful information, this book really is a must read for everyone who is interested in making sure they have a plan in place for any needed long-term care in their aging years. I didn't know there was such a thing as Long Term Care insurance, but now I can totally understand why it exists.
This book goes through so many things we all need to know, if not for our parents or elderly relatives, at least for our own selves. There's lots of information here about tax laws, Medicare laws, and insurance types and costs of living into your old age. The writing is so easy to read and understand. Great book. Really makes you understand the need to plan for the future.

Long Term Care is a delicate subject that must be taken seriously. Of course, at young ages people don´t normally think about getting old, it looks way down the road, but sometimes it is not.
Mark J. Orr helps the reader to navigate this world and age properly, maintaining financial stability over the difficult years to come.
I think the author does an extensive and detailed work; there were many things I didn´t know about Pension Protection, Tax strategies, and asset protection strategies that can be useful in the American society we live in nowadays. Definitely recommended for adults, a short easy-to-read book that gives a clear heads-up about what's coming.

Long-Term Care: The Elephant Lurking in Your Retirement written by the financial planner and investment advisor Mark J Orr is a very useful guide book about planning retirement. This simple book is great for people who are worried about their future when they get older. The guidebook is divided in several chapters that are introduced by a clear title mentioning what each one is about and then his tips are presented one by one in a straightforward way. I would highly recommend this book for adults that feel anxious about how their lives will be in an old age and are concerned about how they will deal with matters such as health, money, family in retirement.

The book has a lot of information and at first sight it may be a bit overwhelming but I recommend reading it with time and being calm so as to get all the necessary information. I liked that the book provides examples and strategies, so it has taught me a lot. And also, it has many interesting tips.
