Very interesting to read a play from the first years of the 19th C. (1802, specifically) -- the style, use of music and dance, etc. Nice little melodrama for the lover of history or student of theatre.
I’m not sure how good this play would be if I were not reading for a class in which it is contextualized, but I found it to be great fun and definitely worthy of genre study.
