This was an enlightening and intriguing read. Here we learn about the Dark Triad, the triangle of Narcissists, Machiavellians, and Psychopaths themselves. Reading this I never knew before how many of these types I've encountered throughout my life!
The section on the Machiavellians really interested me because I've attracted them and been deceived along the way. Here we have the people who would cheat their mother and family of everything if they knew it meant getting ahead. They are calculated, long-term strategists who are basically cold blooded. Here we have the people who lie, cheat, flatter to get their way, use strategies, trick and manipulate people into doing what they want; once they think you can no longer serve them or their needs, they dump you! And then they accuse you of the same; they take no responsibility for any of their behavior, and bad mouth your good name. They have no conscience unless they get caught; even so, they'll lie right to the end.
Also included are sections on brainwashing, propaganda, social media, and the author gives suggestions on how to protect yourself from these aggressive messages that are not in your best interest. Think for yourself, even if it means going against the herd, is a strong message here.
An easy to read book with lots of examples and explanations of how we can get coerced into doing something we don't want, and how we can stop this assault on our identity and humanity.

In my quest to understand more about propaganda, deceit and manipulation in media and from our government, I add this book, "Psychological Warfare", to four other books I've read on the subject. I think today more than any time in history our lives are inundated with propaganda and deceptive messaging. That includes the times of world wars when propaganda was on steroids. This psychological warfare has entered every aspect of our live. Too few are armed to protect themselves from the special messaging from special interests. This short book of 104 pages explains psycho warfare, the types, the history, the tactics, brainwashing and mind control via the media, psycho warfare in personal relationships, and then how to defend yourself from psychological warfare. I think there has probably been much more study on perpetrating psychological warfare then defend from it. In chapter 3, "Dark Personalities". the dark triad is explained. A combination of three personality traits. Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. A very scary combination. Can you think of anyone that might have this combination? This book was worth the time and for a quick read on the subject I would recommend it.
