I read this book for a Women's group study. I really enjoyed it. I fond it very encouraging and funny. It gave real life examples and the author has a very good sense of humor. This book helped me to be aware of the words and thoughts about not only my husband but my children as well. This is a very good book I could read over and over and gain something every single time.

A book that I will be reading multiple times in my life for sure! A lot of wonderful life lessons, practical everyday tools and overall encouragement for this crazy life we all live.
I have found that many of the verses, tips and tricks to just be a more positive, encouraging person have proved helpful.
Yes, I will still struggle. This world is a negative place and it effects your mood no matter how hard you try, but after reading this book I know I am not alone and I know the struggle is real, but can be dealt with.
I am so glad I started this at the beginning of the year, going through it slowly chapter by chapter and really soaking everything in. I know I will be coming back to it again and again through life!

If you want to take yourself back to the 1950s when women did everything they could to please their husband's without expecting anything in return, feel free to read this, otherwise don't bother. It was a degrading book that put husband's feelings above anything a wife could want, and guess what? We should do it with a smile on our face. The thing that completely irked me in this book is how she would take tons of one like quotes from the Bible to make her point but wouldn't used any of the context surrounding the quote she used.
The only reason I read 90% of the book was because it was for a women's Bible group I'm in and figured I could suffer through one book that was utterly horrible the more I read. Oh, must be because I am not open to hearing God's word right? Yeah. No.

Karol Ladd came to speak at our church and she was fantastic. I bought this book and enjoyed it immensely. Exactly what I was looking for. There's a HUGE chapter on respect and what that all entails. I'm still trying to finish it. It'll be awhile before i complete this book. Overall, she's really funny and brings it to a level that anyone can understand. It's kinda autobiographical and I love that.

Not really my cup of tea, but had a good message of being a support to my husband in all his endeavors...no matter what I thought of them. :)

This book was okay. It had some good points, but might have been more enjoyable in a book club setting for discussion.
