This book is all about America’s flag and what it means to pledge allegiance to the flag today. It talks about how you see the flag everywhere you go and you even see it when you are out at sea. At the end, it talks about how people say the pledge and always put our hands over our hearts.
I liked this book overall and I think it is a very fun book because of the good illistrations. This book brings all people together and helps us remember the importance of our flag and pledging allegiance to our country. I am very thankful for the country I live in and never want to take it for granted.
When it comes time to talk about the founding of America, this will be a very useful book to use and teach my kids from. I am excited to open this book with my kids in the future and talk about the importance of our flag.

F Is for Flag
(children's book, flag, United States of America, USA, American symbols, Fourth of July, Flag Day)

F Is for Flag tells you everything you ever wanted to know about the American flag: what it looks like, where you can find it, why it's flown, what it symbolizes, what the stars and stripes represent, etc.

If you are a teacher, F Is for Flag would be a good book to use with your social studies units about citizenship and American Symbols.

Best for early childhood and early elementary students. Whole group, small group, independent reading.

F is for Flag is about the American flag and all that it means to us as citizens in the United States. This book mentions how the flag came about, the songs we sing about it, and that "F is for Flag".

I really liked the patriotism this book represented. It gives information understandable to young children that they will need to know throughout their lives as United States citizens.

I remember my teacher teaching us about the flag when I was little, and this book can connect to students. I would use this book during a week studying the letter "F" or use it during social studies when we are talking about the American flag.

This informational picture book was very successful in communicating the importance of our nation's flag. It was not the most interesting or exciting book ever, but it was educationally valuable. You could use it in the classroom to introduce a lesson on national symbols. You could also read it on any American-themed holidays happening during the school year. If you taught younger students, you could read it around the same time they are trying to remember the pledge of allegiance.

Happy Flag Day (our flag’s birthday)!

F Is for Flag by Wendy Cheyette Lewison is a sweet and thorough, nonfiction picture book about the United States Flag. Lewison describes the flag’s meaning, history, why, when, and how it is used, and who made the first flag and what it looked like. She tells about Flag Day, the flag’s birthday, and which song represents the American flag. It’s the perfect book to share with readers from preschool and up, in celebration of Flag Day. Highly recommended.

I like that its very easy to follow and it is easy for kids to understand. I also liked that the illustrations showed different ethnicities represented in our country.

This books shows how Americans around the United States celebrate the American flag and the symbolism we show. The pictures look like a child is drawing the pictures and they are on an adventure with the flag. One of the picture shows a parade celebration on the flags national day which is June 14th. Another picture shows some children and adults singing the national anthem while some get emotional. The narrator talks about where we put the American and the colors of the flag.

I liked this book and would recommend reading this to children during independence day or teaching them the history of our nations flag. This book would be great for kindergarten though 2nd grade. I liked that the author used cartoon like figures to see the flag as something that can be fun to learn about but also the importance of the flag.

F is for Flag is about the symbolism behind the US flag we see around us. It talks about how we see the flag in different places and that it can mean many things like unity, welcome, or serve as reminders for good and bad times. This book would be great for students to read by themselves because it is an easy read with not many words and pages, as well as the pictures going along with the words. This book would be perfect as a take home reader for students to practice their reading at home.

This a cute elementary book about the Flag. I read it to 2nd graders while I was doing a unit on citizenship. The book has interesting facts about the flag, is educational, and easy to follow. I would use it anywhere from Kindergarten to third grade.

This book was written for a very young audience as a piece of nonfiction about flags. It didn't get bogged down in too many details, but it kept its focus throughout. It's just the right length for a read aloud and it is a very effective illustration of the meaning and purpose of the American flag.

Geared toward a younger audience, but a good way to teach why the flag is important to our country, why we show it respect, and why it is a symbol of patriotism.

I like that this book focuses on the flag and other things that are important to our culture. While I appreciate that it covers history (referencing the inclusion of why the flag looks the way it does) the illustrations kill the book for me. They are very poorly put together.
