Excellent book. I read a bit about each tree, but have already turned back to it as a reference many times!

A very thorough guide onto the tree's of "Michigan", I live in New Jersey and most of the dominant tree species here overlap with those commonly found in Michigan, so this book is still very much applicable to the midwest and northeast. My only complaint is that there are no photographs or drawings of bark, although bark is something that can vary from the individual organism to organism a lot. The book descriptions are spot on.
