Wordspells is an anthology good for children. It didn’t live to its own advertisement which aims to cater and entertain all ages possible. The choices are too white either; the scholarship too narrow and weak, as the anthology considered Traditional only from the viewpoint of English tradition. More so, only the Irish poets like Heaney and Causley had something better to offer than other chosen poets selected for this collection.
