A vintage find on my library shelves. This will appeal to readers (listeners in my school, since it is a frequent read aloud in fourth grade) who loved Edward Tulane, especially those who may be reading a few levels lower than Edward. Along the same lines of the Velveteen Rabbit, with a little less melancholy and drama.
Wonderful sweet story. Read it - over the course of a few nigths - to my 5 year-old back 15 years ago. Sadly, I can't find it in any library or bookstore. I'd love to have a copy as a momento.
