When Cheech drives his school bus through a graveyard, he picks up some unusual students there who teach him, and his "Cheecharrones," a lesson about making friends. 30,000 first printing.
Richard Anthony "Cheech" Marin is an American comedian and actor who gained recognition as part of the comedy act Cheech & Chong during the 1970s and early 1980s, and as Don Johnson's quick-and-scheme partner, Insp. Joe Dominguez on Nash Bridges.
I didn't expect much from this. And so I wasn't highly disappointed. This was a lame children's book however. The writing was erratic and plotline was all over the place... it didn't flow. Even my 4 yr old wasn't very impressed with it and she likes reading about ghosts. Oh well. I didn't hatr it hence the 2 star rating.
This came by my desk yesterday, and my immediate reaction was that it had to be awful. I don't know a lot about old Cheech's life, but when I think of him, I'm not like, "There's a person who should really write a children's book."
This prompted me to come up with people who would be even less appealing as children's book authors. Here's my list so far:
1. Bobby Brown 2. David Hasselhoff 3. Amy Winehouse 4. R. Kelly 5. Kim Jong Il 6. Lindsey Lohan
That's all I got so far. But the possibilities are endless.
Steve read it to the girls since he is the master of voices. He didn't care for it. I read it and I agree. Premise--ghosts jump on the school bus until they locate their ghost bus driver. EGAD.
