This is a moving missionary story, describing what God has done through the exceptional ministries of David and Eunice Simonson. It is an exciting adventure story which has the reader wondering what remarkable events will happen next. It is a moving human story about people in love with God, with each other, and with all of God's people. It is an African story, telling how that continent and its people captured the loves of two Americans and their family.
I met Eunice Simonson in Tanzania in Feb 2012. I was staying at her son's safari lodge. Husband David, a preacher, and Eunice Simonson, a RN, went from Minnesota to Africa in 1956. While there, they built schools especially for women, developed health clinics, developed communities, helped the Maasi, along with preaching God. Eunice came across as an amazing, energetic and warm woman. Along with raising 5 children, 3 of whem still live in Africa, she had some hair-raising experiences as a nurse, such as giving an anesthetic for the first timne, eyc.
a couple's story of working with the Masai in Kenya and Tanzania. It's slow going. Some times i was really encouraged, sometimes challenged, sometimes bored.
