John Lewis Hart, also known as Johnny Hart, was an American cartoonist noted as the creator of the comic strip B.C. and co-creator (with Brant Parker) of the strip The Wizard of Id. Hart was recognized with several awards, including five from the National Cartoonists Society, and the Swedish Adamson Award. In his later years, he sparked controversy by incorporating overtly Christian themes and messages into the strips.
I have a number of these and this is the earliest of my collections and also usually the weakest, not sure why. Maybe too many american sports references perhaps. Still fun enough, and here's the best joke in here :) .
Another good Johnny Hart B.C. book. Entertaining as always, and somewhat prophetic concerning our current events. And that, as I understand it, makes B.C. a classic. My parents had B.C. books around the house when I was a child, and I used to pick them up and read them. Maybe this What's New, B.C. book, which I borrowed from my sister, was previously owned by my parents. Either way, I loved reading it.
