If you enjoy historical first hand accounts of early 20th century Europe, science during WWII, and the close encounters with the physicists of this time, then you’ll like this book. Winger’s recollections are largely of his life—of the people and places—paired with his own thoughts on the happenings of the time, as events occurred to him. Any accounts of how the science happened isn’t discussed.
