Quick read. Many of the stories are delightful but the chapter on Sadness at Christmas was rough to read. It always amazes me what others are called on to bear in their lives. All the stories are short about a paragraph. They sure did like to dance. I suppose there wasn't much else for them to do. I loved the simplicity of their Christmas and their gratitude for anything they had. We could learn a lesson to two from them.

A beautiful collection of pioneer journal entries. Makes one rethink the commercialism of Christmas.

An easy read-teaches the true meaning of Christmas from the perspective of early Saints, prophets and missionaries-from their diaries.Loved it!
