Step aside Jack Ryan and John Krasinski, there’s a new action hero in town! Dave McClure is the total package, moves through covert operations with ease, jet sets around the globe saving the world, and makes sure he’s home for his pregnant wife, former NCIS Agent. With non-stop action, tracking down terrorists, and saving the world from WWIII, McClure is an easy character to root for in “First Bullet.”

The fight scenes, story, plot, and espionage are extremely realistic thanks to author Andrew Ceroni’s own career as a Senior Supervisory Special agent in espionage, counterespionage, and antiterrorism operations. Bringing his career to the page, Ceroni holds nothing back as the Germans plot a WWIII catalytic event.

From Colorado to Virginia, Germany, and more Dave McClure will stop at nothing to save the world. Hand to hand combat, evading snipers, tracking in the mountains, and gun fights there is so much action packed into this read. And yet, there is incredible attention to detail in the plotting of the underlying story, the intel gathering from allies and ops, the sneaking and spying, and the foreign positions of power that play such a massive role in this book, making for an extremely well-rounded story.

Andrew Ceroni has written a wholly enjoyable book. His characters are relatable, yet bad ass, emotional, yet fearless, as he gives them lives outside of their careers. “First Bullet” reads like an action movie, with thrilling chases and dynamic dialogue, readers won’t be able to get enough of Dave McClure.

From a hidden Chinese base in Jamaica to a strategic missile base in Wyoming and the political turmoil in Germany, the tension builds, and the stakes become increasingly dire.

The author's ability to craft well-written action scenes and natural dialogue enhances the immersive experience. The characters in “First Bullet” are richly developed, each with their own motivations and interests, adding depth and authenticity to the story. McClure's relentless pursuit of justice and the looming threat of World War III create a palpable sense of urgency that will keep thriller enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.

Action Begining to End

Let me start by saying WOW….what an action packed book with several great story lines all wrapped into one great read. He has taken done his research and created a plot that involves not only real tradecraft of operators and “spooks” but uses the military technologies available today to spice up the story. His main character Dave McClure is James Bond and Jack Ryan Sr rolled into one; a sharp shooter and great analyst, that always saves the day. One thing you can rely on in Ceroni’s books is the great way he describes every scene and scenario the hero walks into; it’s like you are there watching it all go down. I can say I did not skip a word like I do in a lot of the other action writer books…they seem to ramble on and their extra words add nothing to the story. Not in Ceroni’s book First Bullet! I have read all the other books he has written and this; I believe , is his best work. Now I will patiently wait for another even more spectacular Dave McClure to be written. If you want a book that will bring you a lot of reading pleasure and bring out your inner James Bond this is the book for you.

In FIRST BULLET by Andrew Ceroni, you will read an implacable and intricately woven thriller. This white-knuckle masterpiece immersed me in a world where the CIA, led by Agent Dave McClure, faces a triple threat of perilous proportions. From a clandestine Chinese base in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica to a German terrorist attack on a Wyoming missile base, the tension builds, culminating in a plot to overthrow the German government and incite World War III.
I think this book is just amazing, blending three gripping plots that unfold across diverse and dangerous landscapes. The stakes are global, the action is relentless, and the suspense is palpable. Each page shows Ceroni's expertise, offering an adrenaline-fueled experience that captivates from start to finish.

A well-developed thriller.

First Bullet by Andrew Ceroni is a bold thriller that I read in one go. The plot is fast-paced and kept me on the edge of the chair from beginning to end. The story follows various issues at the same time, with CIA Agent Dave McClure as the protagonist, who is involved in special operations, espionage and more incredible adventures.
It is an exciting book. The author has experience in these works and he shows this in each chapter. All scenes, characters and actions are really well described and the plot is very convincing and realistic, so I could imagine it easily. It is a must read for fans of action stories, police stories and thrillers.

I must say First Bullet by Andrew Ceroni got my adrenaine working. This book has so much to show to its audience in terms of action, thrill, and intrigue. All throughout the book, I felt like I was watching an action film. The way it was written was very artistic and I have to say that the plot was well-done. The story was also character-driven and the events that unfolded were quite a surprise (in a good way), engaging, and unpredictable. I admire authors who can pull up an action genre and this is definitely one of the books that make an impression.

Fantastic reading

For me it is the best of Andy’s series so far. It wasn’t as technical as the others. I enjoyed the more human aspect. I do hope we are bringing Denny Stone in as a newbie.

Super series Andy!
