What an absolute banger for the authors debut novel 🫶🏻
I fell in love with Madison from the get go and as soon as Dean/VP was introduced, I instantly got Jax Teller vibes from Sons of Anarchy and was sold.

Absolutely adored this MC romance.
Loved watching Mads and Dean meet and fall for each other in the first half of the book, and the action-packed second half hit hard (and with the feels, too--I teared up at the ending).
The plot twist at the end of *chefs kiss*.

This was given to me as an ARC & I was so happy to do this for Emily. This was my first MC Romance & I loved it. Mads & Dean had some amazing chemistry and he was so sweet with a funny side even though on the outside he looked a little rough and tumble. This book was heavy on character development and was very detailed which made it that much easier for me to be invested in their love story. This was dual POV, had a happy ending and left us wanting more at the end. This was incredibly spicy and had so much spicy time between these two. For a first time author this was a great read!

I have mixed feelings regarding this story.
It’s some sort of spicy soft dark romance, but it’s kind of unusual. The spice is there, about 2,5 🌶️ but it’s not your usual dirty talk, toy using, dark kinks, they just do it a lot.
The story was a bit too long and I got bored trying to finish the book, BUT I must admit that the plot twist was good. That’s why I’ll give it 3*.

The whole plot is basically about the heroine getting used by the hero, whining about it, and then going back to him with a side of ‘woe is me’.

I don’t know what it is about a good ole MC romance but sign me up. Is it the way they are so broody and grumpy or is it the danger and thrill of being with an outlaw. Either way I’m here for it. I’m here for the touch her and die, and the way they love and protect so hard and Emily knocked this one out of the park. I love Dean so much and Mads was such a sweet girl but with a tough as nails attitude. Her strength and confidence was top notch. The way they complimented each other was perfection 🤌🏼 and the twist at the end…did NOT see that coming at all. Cannot wait to read the next one!

Received as an ARC. I've never read a motorcycle romance before, and after this, I think I need to read some more. This was an easy 4 stars for me.
Dean is our MMC he's the VP of the Rippers MC, and he is your Alpha Male, possessive, and the way he loves on Madison is to the point of almost golden retriever. He has hid own secrets which slowly come out over the course of the book.
Madison is our FMC, and she's just recently divorced from a narcissistic ex-husband, and she is finally knowing her value and worth. She is a really likeable character.
I really enjoyed how we knew exactly why Madison & Dean felt a certain way. It wasn't just rushed over. There was a decent back story to each subplot. You genuinely route for them as a couple, and the twists that came out kept me on my toes. The spice level is good, and the side characters, esp Jess & Bex, are really likeable.

From the very first chapters I felt like I knew Mads, the detail that goes into her life is impeccable 👌🏼 you really feel the heartache and worries with her. Then she meets Dean, and Whoah! Do we get a whole new sensation there! 🥵🌶️
The journey between Mads and Dean takes us on a rollercoaster with many unexpected twists and turns. Each having their own lessons in love and life along the way.
We meet a range of amazing characters, each with their own story to tell.
This book had me in literal tears, laughter and elation!
It’s hard to believe that this is Emily’s debut novel! Her writing style is just beautiful! Easy to read, follow and really sink into!

Now, romance is definitely not my usual thing as a reader but this book is unique in the way it intertwines the romance elements, with a thriller sub-plot....and a sprinkling of the spicy stuff 🌶️🔥
I think I fell in love with Madison as quickly as Dean did with all her fieriness, flaws and complex life story narrative. Lauren was also a fave for me.
The character development and relationships between the main and side characters were well thought out making them layered and relatable.
The book is thoughtfully layed out with a TW list and glossary to assist the reader from the onset which I haven't seen before and were appreciated. Chapters aren't too long/drawn out either which fits with the choppy narrative (another thing I like in books personally).
Essentially if you're looking for something a little different to your typical romance, give this a go. Maybe you'll be lured in by the curated biker underworld too.
A wonderful debut novel. Very excited for Emily's writing career.

Mads and VP have totally stolen my heart! As a former ol lady, this book now holds a special place in my heart. Mads and VP growing together and learning life together was so pure but so freaking spicy all at the same time. The challenges, the adventure, the spice and even some heart warmers! I cried multiple times throughout, some sad, some happy, but the end of the book destroyed me.
Oh and fuck Alex. 😂

So I read it a second time because I want to read the rest of the books. I still believe it could have been 100 pages shorter. But I did liked it better than the first time I’ve read it.

🖤 So, I am a little late to the Emily Catlow party. I have had many friends tell me “Straight To Me is so good, you’ve got to read it, this book is really really good,”etc. Well, this book is way more than good, it’s freaking fantastic. The fact that this is a debut novel is unreal. Emily’s writing style engulfs you in all of the deep feels. The detailed character development had me falling hard for Madison, Dean and all of the side characters. Each one had an integral part developing this amazing story.
🖤 Madison is a very relatable character that is easy to love, and I found many familiar and relatable character traits in her personality. Dean is VP of his motorcycle club and is dangerous, sexy, morally dark grey with a complicated heart gripping history. Their chemistry is intense and passionately charged. I felt intense emotions to all extremes. One moment I was smiling and happy the next I was incredibly angry and sobbing, pulling my hair out.
🖤 I absolutely loved the flow and pacing of this story. Lots of action and massive plot twists really had my heart pumping. The only good part about being late to this party is I don’t have to wait long for this wonderful story to continue. Book 2 is coming February 2024.

Dean aka VP is our incredibly sexy MMC. He has a pretty crappy history and has never felt like he could put his trust into someone outside of the club. That is until he stumbles upon Mads at a bar one night.
Mads is our sheltered FMC who was previously in a marriage where she was not a priority. She lost who she was and what she loved because she never could be herself. When Dean comes into her life, she starts loving who she is as a person.
But Dean is part of an MC and with that comes a lot of twists and turns that not everyone can handle.
This story will take you through so many ups and downs and things you think you know and then boom, something drastic causes that train of thought to derail.
The spice in this book....woah!!!! Be sure to give yourself some ehmm self care time 🥵🥵 just trust me!! Plus, these two cannot keep their hands off each other either, so you're in for an incredible ride! ...pun intended!

I am trying to find the right words to say with this review and not give anything away…I am truly speechless and at a loss for words on how amazing this debut novel was!
This is HANDS DOWN one of the best MC Romances I have read in a long time. When I tell you I was hooked from the very beginning, I mean 6 chapters in and I knew this book was going to keep me reading all day and night. I have never been so giddy and smiling so much from the beginning of a book. Dean, VP and Madison, Mads had me falling in love right along with them.
These two are the most beautifully, perfect couple I have ever read. They were truly made for each other. The banter with them from the very moment they met, to how they found each other over and over. Then you throw in all the suspense and twists, makes this truly a masterpiece!
Which is why I am speechless that this is the author’s debut novel! It was so well written that you can’t even tell.
Most definitely a top 5 favorite MC Romances AND a Top Read of 2023!

I went into this book not knowing what to expect and wow it was amazing, I’ve read biker mf romances before this this is by for my favourite one, I loved and mads and dean communicated and constantly drifted towards each other no matter what. I loved how mads wouldn’t take any crap from anyone but was also nice and understanding. Mads and deans relationship from the start was a whirlwind to say the least but they got through their problems and couldn’t stay away from each other. The action in the book (both sexual and non sexual) was so good, I liked how the book kept me on my toes waiting for the next part and you could feel the emotions of the characters through the book. It had me smiling and crying with them.
The twists and turns just kept coming like boom boom boom I loved it I wish I could read it for the first time again
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read book 2 and find out what happens next

This book threw me left to right. The spice to the emotional upheaval. OH MY VP.
There was so much happening in the background that we got answers to at the end of the book. The connection between Mads and Dean was believable as it wasn't easy, it was raw and messy and they faught, the hid things from one another and they both had pasts that they were still dealing with.
The bond between Mads, Jess and Bex was top tier. Those are best friends and sisters wrapped into two people. The side characters had depth and had me drawn into their lives also.
It was gritty, it was messy, it was hot, it was emotionally charged. A debut novel? Wow.

Omg where do I start with this book straight to me. Amazing book amazing writing. Emily is a new author and she's done amazing with this book.
I loved the twists and turns, it shows every emotion in this book romance, trauma. But please read the trigger warnings before you read this book.
I love the setting of this one been UK MC romance was amazing. Just about to move on to book two and I'm sure it will be just as good.

This is the story of Madison and Dean. Madison has just recently divorced from her cheating ex-husband and her heart is broken. Not just because of their marriage but bc for a year they tried to get pregnant with no success and as soon as her ex leaves she finds out he got the woman he was cheating on her with pregnant.
Dean is our MMC, the VP of the Rippers MC. I loved how once he met Madison "Mads" he falls quickly. The whole time I was reading this story I could just picture Jax from Sons of Anarchy. The first half of the book was showing the relationship between Mads and VP. Once you get to 50% it was fast paced and full of action that kept you on pins and needles needing to know what happened next!!

Easy to get pulled into the story at the beginning, due to fast pace. Even though it’s a fast burn, you can see the chemistry develop between main characters. Action packed drama with emotional moments throughout. I was easily absorbed into the story especially towards the end. Great twists and turns I didn’t see coming that get you invested in the characters. I liked the open communication between main characters.

The book has been on my TBR list for too long and I finally read it and loved it..
Dean/VP and Mads relationship was so beautiful, their feelings for each other felt so raw, so pure. They were truly made for each other. Sure they had their challenges and ups/downs but the way they didn't give up on and found each other over and over was absolutely perfection. Dean's character made me swoon, he is dangerous, morally gray but he is so caring and head over heels for Madison and vice versa, both found her happiness and love in each other.
The story was heartbreaking and at the same time heartwarming. This was truly a great written story the whole plot, all the suspense and twists/turns it was captivating. I wanted to know how everything ends and the end of the book made me cry.
"Come Back To Me" im coming cuz need more of Dean and Madion 😍😍

Straight To Me is a biker romance featuring Madison (aka Mads) Rose Reed and Dean (aka VP) Carter.
Madison is recently divorced and trying to start anew. Her miserable ex left her when she couldn't get pregnant. While getting back on her feet, she moved in with her best friend Bex. One night they get dressed up and head to Cathedral Bar. It is there that she has an interesting encounter with Dean.
Dean is the vice president of his motorcycle club. He is a member of the Rippers, an outlaw club. These are very dangerous men. Dean ends up driving Mads home on his bike. There is an instant connection which grows throughout the book, and the chemistry between the two characters is intense!
I highly recommend checking out this book. It was a delicious read with a possessive, morally grey MMC who falls first, and helps the FMC see her own worth after having her heart stomped upon. While VP is tough as nails, he also has a loving and generous heart. The book is definitely spicy with some detailed scenes. It is also both heartwarming and heartbreaking. In addition to romance, the story contains action, adventure, mystery and intrigue.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and was elated to read that the story will continue in an upcoming book.

You know how sometimes you read books and they are so out there that you can't picture it at all?
That was not this book. Every detail had me believing that this could really happen, and maybe it did. The smut side of the book was just enough to where it was not overbearing and consuming the entire story being told.
I'm very happy my friend gave this a "10" out of 5 stars and that I picked it up based on her recommendation. Can't wait to read the next one!
Also, where does one find a not so scary scary biker? Asking for a friend.

First of all FINALLY the UK gets a MC romance which is on par with all the ones I’ve read set in the US - I LOVE an MC romance and have always read US ones as I felt any other country wouldn’t work…… I just always imagine SOA…….. but Emily this was perfection.
I loved Mads fierceness, I loved how Dean the big strong VP melted for her. I fell in love this this MC world and although we only got to meet enough characters I honestly this this world will be amazing.
Dean, Dean, Dean……. What can I say about Dean 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love him…. That may be all I need to say
My only wish was that Dean had sorted the issues out with Red….. I do not want this to cause issues later as it may break my heart
For anyone who loves an MC romance, do not delay. Get this on your TBR you will not be disappointed

Whoa!!!! That’s one way to write a debut novel!!! This book had me from page 1. Our MCs are literally the definition of soulmates written in the stars. Madison and VP (Dean) meet under intense circumstances and the intensity between the two doesn’t ever dim. Madison is a normal woman recovering from a cheating ex-husband until she meets VP who is the bad boy biker who falls for her and falls hard! One of my fav tropes…. He is Possessive!!! The progression of their relationship is emotional, and passionately intense. They both love hard with everything they’ve got. But it’s not your typical love story, there is a lot going on in the story. What else can you expect from a good biker book!!
VP is a broken soul whom has lost and gone through so much, Madison is his everything and I loved reading every second of it. Let me just say that the spice In this book is hot! 🥵 These two can’t keep their hands off each other!
I did get kind of annoyed with Madison’s stubbornness at times but I also loved and respected her for the same thing. This book made me feel so much, I did cry but pretty sure you will too…. Get Kleenex ready.
I will say there was a major shocker at the end of the book…but I kind of called it early on…if you know you know.

Emily… what a fantastic book! I literally couldn’t put it down. All I wanted to do was be in their world you created. So many twists and turns… and the smut! Wow! If I could rate this book a 10 I would! Can’t wait to read Come Back To Me.
