For almost 50 years after World War II, the antagonism caused by two rival ideologies--democracy and communism--dominated international politics. I really enjoy reading about history so i liked this book. If you arent into reading about real historical events you may not like this book. i rated it 4 out of 5 because it got dry at some points. i really enjoyed learning about the scandals of past presidents along with their peers within other countries.

The book is a good nonfiction book detailing the timeline of the events of the Cold War. In the book the United States and Soviet Union try to be on top of each other. This includes in the space race, the nuclear arms race, and overall. There are wars such as the Korean War and Vietnam War as a result. The book is good but could present things more interestingly.
