Mixing Oil and Water
4.5 stars - Finally! I have been waiting for this couple since book one. The chemistry was burning hot when they first met, but so was a whole lotta animosity. I have been patiently waiting to see them break through it. Now? Oh. Em. Gee! 🥳

I'm happy and sad about the disbanding of the United She-Woman Single Ladies with Our Vibrators So We Never Have Another Bad Date or Experience Romance Again Because Men Suck Club. It's definitely bittersweet. I do wish we got Elizabeth and Isabelle's story. Perhaps one day?
I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Robert Hatchet and Juliet Frost. You can never go wrong with Rob as the leading man. I also like Juliet as Pru.

I’m sad this is the last in the Not Another Romance series. I was hoping there would be a book for Elizabeth and Isabelle.

Sebastian and Pru were as hot together as Sebastian’s job description! Their strong personalities lead to some great banter and their kinder moments really has us as the readers rooting for them.

Book 5 in the Not Another Romance series finally gives us Pru and Sebastian. These two have been building up sexual tension since the start and let me tell you it's a good thing he's a firefighter because the sparks between them could start an inferno! This is definitely the steamiest book so far.
Pru is an extremely independent woman. She fights HARD against her attraction to Sebastian, even to the point of being rude. Her reasoning is that he is, well, an alpha male, and in her experience they don't make the best relationship partners. But Sebastian isn't your typical I am man, here me roar alpha, he is actually incredibly sweet and thoughtful (and Good Lord what a dirty talker!) He's attracted to Pru's confidence just as much as he is to her appearance.
I fell more in love with this series with each book. I loved that we continued to see the characters throughout each other's stories ♡ The epilogue was perfect.

I've been waiting on Pru and Sebastian since the first novel in the Not Another Romance series came out it was most definitely worth the wait. The chemistry between Pru and Sebastian is so hot, and Sebastian is a dirty talking alpha 🔥 I also loved how everyone in the United She-woman... club had their story wrapped up ❤❤❤❤❤

I can’t believe this is the end of the series! It has been such an incredible and crazy ride that I thoroughly enjoyed!
I am so glad I took a chance on RK Kenderson. I know I’ll be reading her backlist after this!
This is book 5 and it’s Pru’s story and my god what a story it is! This book had me on a roller coaster! It’s an enemies-to-lovers romance and I love an enemies-to-lovers romance and this? FUCK YES! This was everything I loved and more! The push and pull between the characters drive me insane, in the best way possible! I freaking love it!
Pru is a strong woman, she doesn’t rely on anyone else for anything and she’s never been afraid to ask for what she wants or to go for what she wants.
Sebastian is a sexy, swoony, charming, and sweet fireman that women can’t help but fall in love with. I mean, what is not to love?
Pru has known Sebastian since they were children and they do not get along at all. They try and keep their distance from each other, to be honest, but when Bree (Sebastian cousin) organises Pru to help Sebastian with the firefighting charity he’s doing, they don’t have a choice but to spend time together.
Pru doesn’t do relationships, she’s more just about the sex, that’s until Sebastian… and changes everything. After a charity event where you win a date with someone changes their relationship, these two and their connection and chemistry together spark. Sebastian makes it no secret how he feels and how attracted he is to Pru and he finds any chance he can to flirt and tease her.
Pru has a wall up, but you can tell that Sebastian is slowly taking down that wall brick by brick, but she doesn’t realise that’s what is happening straight away. Will Sebastian be able to smash her wall down completely or will Pru continue to have this ongoing fear of commitment to relationships and ruin her chance to be with the man she loves and the man of her dreams?
This was amazing. The entire series was and I am so sad it’s finished. I know I’ll be going back and reading it again for sure!

Pru cannot stand alpha male players like hot firefighter Sebastian. But is all that antagonism just masking a deep attraction?
Sebastian may not be quite who Pru had thought he was, and when he proves to be different, actually a sweet, loving person, will she open her heart to him? Or let her fears drive him away?
I ended up loving Sebastian, but Pru's behavior drove me nuts. I wish he had been paired with someone more his equal. If he had, then this definitely would have been a 4 star read. As it stands, Pru was so ridiculous that I can't give more than 3 stars.

Not Another Alpha Male is another book in the series about a group of friends who have sworn off men. Pru is an event planner who gets asked to plan a fundraiser with firefighter Sebastian. She doesn't like him (once upon a time, he threw a frog at her) but her boss doesn't give her a choice and she gets stuck with the event, and his company. She sees him as the confident alpha male type that she resists because they tend to take over, control you and then leave you if something better comes along. She swears she'll never have sex with him but it only takes a few drinks for her to start asking for it. I wasn't expecting her to give in quite so quickly. He doesn't want to do it with a drunk girl (yay for ability to consent!) but fortunately they have other opportunities. In the end it's not Sebastian who drags their feet about commitment, it's her. I liked the hero because he was both fun and caring, and this story is light and entertaining low-angst fluff, just right for a certain kind of a reading mood.

This was a cute and interesting read, but nothing I felt too strongly for. The characters were sometimes unlikeable (Pru played a lot of games and I never got a big sense for a deep connection) but overall it was okay.

This was a good read. Pru and Sebastian are working together to plan an event. There are feelings between them. However, Pru fights it. Of course, by the end she comes to her senses, and they get their happy ending.

It's a good enemies-to-lovers romance, even if the reason why Pru pushes Sebastian away is a little lighthearted. On the other hand, I liked the way Sebastian manages to make her change her mind despite the prejudices she always has about him being a firefighter. It's a good romantic comedy, hot, with good characters with sometimes funny speech because of their antagonisms.

I have really enjoyed this series. I really liked both Sebastian and Pru and was always wondering what the bad blood between them was. The chemistry between them was sizzling hot enough to melt your panties and I am so happy to get to know these two better. The banter between Pru and Sebastian was sassy, steamy and just too fun to read.

I am sad to see this series end I have loved getting to know these ladies and the men they fall for unexpectedly,and it finishes with a bang and Pru is the star of this book along with Bree's cousin Sebastian.Who has made small appearances in the other books,and he and Pru do not get along.
They have known eachother through Bree since they were just kids and Sebastian threw a frog at her.Since then Pru has had a chip on her shoulder about Sebastian and they are forever throwing insults at eachother.
So they begin this story a bit like enemies Pru does everything to avoid him but Bree has recommended her to help Sebastian organise The firefighters Charity event.When her boss finds out about this Pru is made to work alongside Sebastian to plan the best event they can.
Yes Sebastian is a sexy Firefighter and a total Alpha full of confidence,charm and charisma..all the things Pru pretends she hates.
Pru is a strong independent woman and is not afraid to ask for what she wants,but she is scared of relationships..sex only is what she thinks she wants.
The push and pull beween these two is like a spark ready to ignite the sexual tension just crackles in the air.
An event auction were a date with the person up for Auction, changes Pru and Sebastian's relationship forever.
I LOVE Sebastian he is so much fun,he has the persona of being a manwhore but deep down I suspect he is ready for a relationship...He is so attracted to Pru and takes every opportunity to tease her and subtly tells her how much he wants her.
This story is like Grumpy Sunshine in reverse because it is Sebastian who is the sunshine and Pru who is the Grumpy one.Which I suspect is just a way she protects herself by being grumpy she keeps men away they don't want to date her just sleep with her...But Sebastian is diffrent and she finds she loves spending time with him and when they cross the line the sexy times are explosive.They are so very compatible,and slowly they sneak into a relationship.Which Pru deny's is happening,could Pru's ongoing fear of commitment ruin the chance to have the perfect romance with the man of her dreams?
I listened to the audiobook and loved it just as much as the other 4 books in this series there is a change in Narration with this last book.
We still get to experience the gorgeous voice of Robert Hatchett who I love to listen to and is just perfection.The female narration has changed and for the first time I got to listen to Juliet Frost who falls into her role perfectly.I really loved her she did a fantastic job as Pru and her voice was easy to listen to,she really impressed me and made a great partnership with Robert their voices sounded amazing together.
This story was a bittersweet ending to a fantastic series..Oh and we also get to know what happens to the remaining two ladies in the group of friends.You might be surprised with who they fall in love with..It was the best...and made the whole series end on a brilliant note.
R.L.Kenderson has paved her way into my affections and I will definately be reading or listening to her books again.

Not Another Alpha Male is a contemporary romance featuring Prudence (Pru) Maxwell and Sebastian Creed. It is the fifth, and final book in the Not Another Romance series, but can be appreciated as a standalone story.
Alexis, Bree, Elizabeth, Isabelle, Paisley, Pru and Tessa have been friends since high school. Not too long ago they started a club called the United She Woman Single Ladies With Our Vibrators So We Never Have Another Bad Date Or Experience Romance Again Because Men Suck Club. The two have a but of a bumpy start, but their chemistry cannot be denied. Hearing them (thank you audiobook!) tease each other, and banter was a lot of fun. I could empathize with Pru in wanting to protect herself based on her past experience, but one should never judge a book by its cover. *wink* Sebastian seems sinfully hot, with a good heart. Who can deny the attractiveness of a firefighter?
I'm going to miss listening to Robert Hatchet's seductive voice. He did a lust worthy job of portraying Sebastian. I was surprised to find a change in the female narrator for the last book in the series. While it took me a moment to adapt to the change, I enjoyed Juliet Frost's representation of Pru.
Note to the author: I'm disappointed that the series ends here. Where is Isabelle & Elizabeth's friends-to-lovers story? Perhaps one day...

Not Another Alpha Male by R.L. Kenderson brings this great series to a close. Truth be told, I am a sucker for stories with couples who really push each other's buttons. And, in Not Another Alpha Male, Pru and Sebastian are geared up and ready to rumble.
When I first read book 5 in this series, I didnt' realize that the history between Pru and Sebastian went all the way back to book 1. I actually started the Not Another... series on book 3. Ended up with this copy as an ARC, and loved it--feel free to look back at my previous reviews. However, as I've continued into the series, I *had* to go back and catch up with all the great stories and characters.
Now, as I close out the series rereading the last three books I started with, I can say without a doubt that there is so much creative, fun, sexy, sweet, frustrating, and HOT stories to be told.
In Not Another Alpha Male I really appreciated the fire between Pru and Sebastian--I mean who doesn't love a sexy firefighter in grey sweats. The banter between the two doesn't let up, and the bachelorette auction was so funny!
As with the other books in the series, the other characters really move the story to a new level, and I loved how Kenderson worked in Isabelle and Elizabeth's narrative closings as well.
I've got a new author to follow, and I can't wait to see more from the two writers who comprise of R.L. Kenderson.

Whew! This book…this book had me at hello. Sebastian is the sweetest alpha male with a filthy mouth that made me sooo hot and bothered. I could not put it down. It has everything I crave in a romance novel: hot hero, dirty talk, smart and funny heroine, witty banter, quirky situations and a steamy love story. I laughed out loud so many times.
Pru felt obligated to work with Sebastian on a charity event but decides to pass. Her boss forces the issue and Pru is trapped by good intension gone to heck. (I swear Amazon has me tagged for swearing so I can’t get away with anything, ugh) In truth, Sebastian is everything Pru needs to stay away from to guard her heart and pride. She’s a sucker for an alpha male but is not willing to cede control to anyone. Pru gets a glimpse at his soft side and thinks he’s even harder to resist but then he has the nerve to fill out his track pants in a panty-melting way. She’s done.
Sebastian is used to getting what he wants. He’s smart, talented, charming and great in bed. The word, no, is not part of his life experience. He’s so attracted to Pru’s confidence and smart mouth that he can’t see straight. But the harder he falls the more worried he becomes that it’s on sided.

What a great ending to the Not Another Romance series! I love this series so much! Easy to listen to, the characters are easy to relate to and the romance wins my heart every time. Pru figures she is the going to be alone forever. So many of the women in the club have met the loves of their life, but she isn't on point to find hers. Sebastian has been a flirt from the first time she met him, and now helping him plan the firehouse event of the year has her spending a lot of time with him. Sparks are flying and with negotiations, they fall into bed together. But will it be just one time? And does either really want a relationship? I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and it’s characters! While each can be read as a standalone, it’s been fun to read them in order and know the connected storylines and backgrounds. So I was thrilled to finally find out what’s been going on between Pru and Sebastian!! She’s been grouchy and short tempered with him in the past so knowing he was going to be part of her story was exciting.
Pru is a headstrong and stubborn woman who can’t stand the alpha types. Sebastian is an alpha male, full of confidence and swagger. What Pru is about to learn, however, is that Sebastian has a lot more going on than just being an alpha male. He also has feelings, is caring and sensitive, a wonderful uncle, and a very giving lover!
I LOVED experiencing these two falling in love. Their banter was fun and tension filled. Their flirting was steamy. Their lovemaking was hotter than hot!! Sebastian was a fantastic character and had layers that peeled away as the story progressed. The ending of their story and this series was perfection! I will miss these characters and their love lives but will definitely read these books over and over to revisit them.

The last hold out to finally find love
Not Another Alpha Male: Not Another Romance Novel (Book 4) by R. L. Kenderson is a wonderful conclusion to this series. Readers who have enjoyed the series so far, finally get up close and personal with Pru and Sebastian. Pru is highly independent and driven and pretty set in her ways. Sebastian ends up wreaking a little much needed havoc. Pru doesn't want to like his alpha tendencies, but there's no getting around, forgetting or ignoring their incendiary attraction.
The plot is straightforward; Pru thinks she doesn't want anything to do with a relationship (although she is a little envious of her friends who have fallen in love) and Sebastian thinks they are on the same page. They have their fits and starts which makes the interactions entertaining and frequently steamy.
Overall, Pru's envy is short lived as she and Sebastian get their own HEA right along with all of Pru's friends.

I am not sure even where to begin. My book hangover has been slowly killing me. I fall every single time for the lead male character. I fear it is becoming a major problem for me. Especially since my latest love is Sebastian Creed.
I knew there had to be feelings somewhere in the mix because no woman has a dislike for a man with a severe passion the way Pru hated his guts. But I was also not expecting to see my own reality in her. The fear of commitment because of past grievances in relationships. Or not feeling good enough. But wow! She fell for him quickly and yet so slowly at the same time while he crashed and burned for her. I don't want to spoil anything or give too much away because I want you to experience a selfless kind of love. And the fact that this is the last book in the series is what makes it even more bittersweet. However, I am glad that all the ladies found love. Even if it was right under their nose this whole time.
My favorite duo never disappoint! I look forward to the next series and standalones.

Battle of the wills really heats up into an explosive mix of fun and romance
Not Another Alpha Male is the fifth book in the Not Another Romance series. This series just continues to be filled with wonderful rom-com stories that have a slightly different take, and not quite so syrupy. This story hits the perfect balance of love and hate with battle lines being drawn and then redrawn and redrawn again until they are completely erased as Pru and Sebastian are forced to work together. As the other ladies in the "club" have fallen in love with men that worship them Pru is positive she is going to be alone for the rest of her life. So imagine her surprise when her old nemesis, from when he first threw a frog at her when they were five years old, ends up being the man to understands and cherishes her. Yep it is a romance journey that is well worth taking, just be sure you are ready to keep reading late into the night as this book you will not want to put down.

This is book five in The Not Another Romance Series and it is Sebastian and Pru's story. Pru is an events planned and when she is asked to do the fundraising event for the fire department she is looking forward to it until she realised that she will have to work with Sebastian who is a total alpha and thinks everything should go his way but Pru is a strong woman who doesn't need or want any man to live her life of the to change her "No Thank You Very Much" she would sooner stay single. The chemistry between Pru and Sebastian is so strong and hot that you could feel it sizzling of the pages but that's all it is too scratch a itch and nothing else or is it more only time will tell what the outcome would be for them and if they will get the happy ending that they both deserve. I am so sad that this is the final book in this series but I am looking forward to seeing what the author writes next and I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.

Another great book in the “Not Another Romance” series about 6 super close girlfriends who get together for a monthly dinner to dish about their lives and men. They’ve formed a pact and sworn off bad men for different reasons. This is Pru’s story.
Pru Maxwell is a really good event/ party planner that gets pushed into helping Sebastian Creed plan his firehouses annual Firefighters charity event.
Pru has some hang ups and is very reluctant to work with Sebastian since he portrays many alpha traits. They start spending a lot of time together and soon give into their strong attraction to each other. But when things start feeling like a real relationship, Pru gets incredibly spooked and runs away.
Incredible characters, fun banter and steam. I received an ARC for this book and this is my review.

A good, 'Not another series' episode. 4*
Pru and Sebastian go head-to-head in this enjoyable, sizzling hot romantic comedy. Every book in this series is an easy-to-read rom-com with many laugh-out-loud moments. The protagonists here are both very well described head-strong characters. They fit well into the lives of the secondary characters who in other episodes have taken the main role. There is a long-standing feud between the current protagonists, since childhood, but as both are working for a good cause, can they put their dislike aside? Well, this book is a good illustration of how the mind can want one thing, but the body certainly wants something quite different. It is an easy, light read that many will like.

Gggaaahhh! This is the most frustrating relationship of the 2!!!! It was obvious Sebastian from very early on fell for Pru and while at not fault of her own cause in a real life situation who knows how we would react she was the reason they took so damn long to get together! This series is honestly one of the cutest ones I've read/ listened to as a whole in a long time. And I loved that it literally felt like they all found their happy ever afters within months of each other. Outside of Pru making their relationship harder for no reason besides not wanting to be heart broken, I loved the chemistry between them. The authors always make the most amazing book boyfriends, and Sebastian was just as wonderful! I will honestly have to go back and reread the series in order this time before the year ends!

Not Another Alpha Male is the fifth standalone book in the Not Another Romance series by R.L. Kenderson. This book focuses on Pru and Bree’s cousin Sebastian. Sebastian is the man Pru loves to hate but, hates to love because he is everything, she never thought she wanted. But when her and Sebastian are forced to work together on his Firehouses charity event, sparks fly.
I have said it before and will continue to say it but each book R.L. Kenderson writes becomes my new favorite. Not Another Alpha Male continues to give us a good fun read that will be devoured in a breezy afternoon. Before you know it, the story comes to an end and you are left with a smile on your face. Perfect series.
