This year, I've enjoyed some fantastic poetry books, and this one is extra special. The poems in this book cover different parts of life and connect with my heart, reminding me of my own experiences. These poems have a way of making me feel peaceful, they become a part of my thoughts.

"Love is not blind. In fact, love makes us see things we could never see. Love knows what's right and what's wrong. Love is not an influence. Love is an identity of our soul. How can it go wrong? Love awakens you. Misguided are those who deceive love. The ones who have seen through love, guide people that love is the only right. Love is not blind. So, don't blame love, blame people who never understood the divinity of love."
This paragraph by Nishi accurately represents my feeling whenever someone asks if after the heartaches I've given up on love. And here I don't use love for only relationships with your partner, but in all aspects. It's not love that we are against. It's the people who fail to understand love from the same wavelength as ours.
Girl to Goddess is a powerful collection of poems and passages that take you through all the stages of a girl's life before she realises who she really is. There were innumerable pages that I have marked as favourites for they validated those emotions of mine that I thought I was selfish or stupid to even think about.
One major reason I loved this book is because I feel many portions conveyed the conflicts that I have. The inner emotions I confine within myself. Seeing them written and felt by others, gave a sense of hope and relief.
Rebooting Life was my favorite part of the entire book. Because it is a part I need to implement right now. And I feel her words have inspired in me the spark of self love I needed.

Every night becomes a task to fight the demons inside our heads and the nightmares we can't seem to forget. Though it is absolute that we're all goddesses and angels who have forgotten your self worth.

Girl To Goddess depicts the journey of every girl, who chooses to speak out or remain buried in the echoes of her silence.
Nishi has done an incredible job in her debut. It gives a feel of walking through her day, sharing her pain while recollecting our own memories when we felt lonely, when we had no one to empty our hearts to, when tear soaked pillow covers screamed about our trauma.
The usage of simple words makes her poems more relatable and believable. When she says, "Everything will be okay", we want to believe it. She makes the reader believe in the concept of true love and best friendship, with others and importantly, with ourselves.
Very hard to put down once reading begins, this book is for all those who have been hurt, broken and healed.

When her book came, I knew I would treasure it forever and yes, this book is magical. The more you read, the more you fall for her words. The simplicity, the magic it has is beautiful. Her words are comforting yet powerful, hitting the right chord. The more you read, the more you could connect to the goddess, to life, to hope and to happiness.
This book is like a hope, a guiding light to all those who are trying to find the missing pieces of life, admiring the broken pieces and living with a mask on. The richness and simplicity in her writing style set this book apart. You resonate with her words, and they feel like a warm hug.
