Miguel My life has always revolved around three things. Brotherhood, violence, and women. As a member of Los Diablos MC, blood follows me wherever I go. As the Vice President, it’s my job to keep a level head and make sure everything goes according to plan. Being a single father to a five year old I’ve never met was never a part of the plan. Balancing a life of crime and caring for a child I’m getting to know isn’t easy, but I’ll do everything it takes to be the father Zeke deserves. I’ll take everything life throws at me and more, but the one thing I never expected was the wrath of my son’s fearsome, beautiful teacher. Or the almost desperate desire to claim her as mine. Lorena I’ve always prided myself on one don’t get involved with my students’ parents. Something that should have been fairly easy to accomplish changes with the arrival of my adorable new student and his sexy biker father. The man is infuriating, clueless, and too flirtatious for his own good. I should have followed my own rule. But Miguel paints a promise of seduction and danger that’s hard to ignore. And when my life is threatened by their vicious rivals, I find myself swept up in the violent world of Los Diablos, fearing not only for my life, but for my heart.

WHEW! That was quite a wild ride! I love love LOVE everything about this book 😍 It was intense, sweet and so darn amazing. Jade really knows how to write spice because the smutty scenes were 🥵 with how Miguel worshipped Lorena.
I love that we got character cameos of Ink and Xiomara. It really was a treat to see them again 🥰 Having teased Desi and Mayan together I'm really eager for their book!
Thank you so much to Jade Hernandez for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I was already HOOKED reading about Los Diablos MC from reading Jade's novella and intro to the series, Ink, but Miguel further solidified my obsession with this world and characters! Miguel, Lorena, and Zeke were so adorable together and I loved following them as they very quickly became a family of three. Overall this romance was a lot more wholesome than I expected, in the best way possible. Miguel's immediate possessiveness over Lorena, and Lorena's fierce protectiveness over Zeke was so much fun to read. I also really loved the deaf and Hard of Hearing representation and how thoughtfully it was handled with Zeke and Desi's characters (as well as the Mexican representation, of course). The hints at the other character pairings for the rest of the novel have me so excited already, and I can't wait to read Mayan's book next! I'd rate this 4.25 stars overall.
Well this is my new favorite MC dark romance series. It’s hot, it’s bad boys that do bad things for the right reasons. I loved the brotherhood/found family aspect as well as the deaf/hoh rep, and the spice, delicious, although this is a way more plot driven story with spice sprinkled in. I can’t wait to see where the series will go.
Part of the Los Diablos Motorcycle Club series, this follows Miguel & Lorena, two opposites drawn to each other. When this MC vice president becomes a single dad unexpectedly, responsibility for his son is an eye opener. Lorena is Zeke's Kindergarten teacher, with no experience with the club life. How can these two opposites focus on this child while simultaneously dealing with their mutual attraction to one another?
I laughed.,cried, FELL IN LOVE with the journey of loyalty, love, and family ......Books bring joy and are a form of therapy. Miguel was on the top of the list, beautifully complex and well executed.
I want Miguel all to myself. He is literally the perfect specimen of a morally grey hero in a romance book. I love the MC world in here, easy to understand and grasp. I also love Lorena, she is so fierce, so smart, so relatable.
I received an ARC for this book and I'm leaving a voluntary review.
**
Wow. Just wow. This book is AMAZING. Yes, it requires all the capitals. The story of Lorena and Miguel and Zeke is gripping, and hard at times but also soft and sweet and filled with the kind of darkness and grimness I love in an MC romance. This is two worlds clashing in an epic way and with so much chemistry it's dripping from the pages. We have sunshine and stoic, sweet and spicy, and all that goodness with an amazing plot that'll keep you gripping the edge of your seat until the final pages.
I love how the romance between Miguel and Lorena - while explosive and steamy AF - isn't all roses in the beginning. She has hesitations and he doesn't see them at first but comes to realize them and works to fix his mistakes and talks with her about these things. It adds a layer of reality to this because it's clear that Lorena has never been a part of MC life before and if there wasn't an adjustment period, it wouldn't feel as good and realistic. But I also really love how determined and sure Miguel is, even while giving Lorena the space she needs and he's ready to show her his love over and over again. Because while a queen might protect her king, the king will only kneel for his queen. And that's Miguel to the tee.
Baby Zeke is adorbs! That kid will be a heartbreaker for sure eventually and I'm so happy he's a big part of this book <3 And the deaf community rep feels so good too!
The plot is really, really good and captivating, and for me, I was taken completely by surprise by the final twist. It came out of nowhere but felt perfect for the story and made total sense. I love it when I'm surprised like that. There was a drop in my belly when it happened and it was such a good feeling.
The cameos of Xio and Ink were amazing and I really enjoyed getting to know the Diablos crew better. This also made me curious about the men and their stories and I hope we get to see Loco, Mayan, Crank, and others get their own love stories as well.
This book blew me away. The writing is fantastic and balances the grittiness and violence of a dark MC romance with space for love, family and sweetness to flourish. This isn’t just a dark MC romance; it’s a fully realized world, alive with the language, rhythm, and complexity of life in Mexico.
Lorena and Miguel’s story is beautiful, passionate, complicated, and so real. Nothing felt rushed or forced. I loved Lorena’s character, she was a sweet and fiercely protective woman, rightfully apprehensive of the MC life cause honestly, who wouldn’t be? Miguel was the perfect example of a morally gray hero. I just know Miguel was born in the 80’s cause the way this man was not afraid to BEG. Beg for her love, for her heart, for just a WHIFF of that la-roche pussay 😮💨.
I loved all representation: plus sized rep, deaf/HoH and the insight into Mexican life. No one does Spanish dirty talk like Jade!! I can’t wait for the next book!!
✨A broody VP of a motorcycle club ✨ A sweet kindergarten teacher ✨Learning new parenthood lessons ✨An adorable 5 year old ✨Sweet moments ✨ Advocacy ✨Spicyyyy scenes 🔥🔥 ✨Insta love (done really well) ✨ Beautiful representation of Mexican characters ✨ Mexican romance 👏 ✨Hoh representation ✨ Wonderful mix of English and Spanish ✨Sweet love set in a dark environment
I loved this book so much. Jade is 100% an auto buy author. This was beautifully done and I am so excited and happy to see this kind of representation in book. It makes such a huge difference when you can relate to characters. I can't wait for the next book!
A Mexican motorcycle club set in Mexico??! With hot asfff bikers? A morally gray single dad??! 😮💨 falling for his sons sunshine/fresona teacher?🤭 and there’s HoH and deaf rep with the side characters too! It’s an insta lust book so it’s really fast passed & kept me hooked from the beginning! Let’s not forget the Spanglish dialogue &🌶️ talk😌 I can’t wait for the rest of the series! TYSM FOR MY ARC!
Miguel and Lorena were such amazing characters to follow. Miguel a new single father is left navigating what is like to be the VP or a 1% MC and a father. Lorena who is a kindergarten teacher enters into Miguel’s life as Zeke’s teacher. Only Miguel is hot for the teacher. These two characters are forced to navigate their romance, Zeke’s hearing diagnosis, and a rival MC. 🏍️
Thank you so much to Jade Hernandez for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC in for her new book!
I loved each character Miguel, Lorena, and Zeke were so cute together. I loved seeing how they became family. One thing I love about this type of genre of books are the possessive male character and Miguel is one of those. The way he will do anything for Lorena.
While reading this book I loved how this book had deaf and Hard of Hearing representation. I personally have 2 close family members who are deaf and hard of hearing and was thoughtfully was handled with the character Zeke.
If you like these troupes then this is the book for you! Motorcycle club troupe 🏍️ Single father trope 👨👦 Teacher troupe 📚 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a great way to end my reading challenge for 2023. I cannot wait to read other books from Jade Hernandez!
So great to step back into this world! I loved Ink and enjoyed this as well. Dramatically romantic with a lot of heat between the two MCs and well balanced with the single dad trope. Lots of tropes not used in a cliched way, the threading story played out so well and this was truly a lot of fun to read. Really enjoyed every page of it!
Ok so this was ok but I felt like it could have been better.
While I did like the main characters I wish that their relationship didn’t have the “insta” moment because it would’ve been cool to see them build up tension.
For me to have enjoyed the insta love I feel like I would’ve preferred to read this in a novella style.
Also wish we had gotten to see more of Zeke’s relationship with Miguel. I felt like he was brushed aside too much before Lorena entered the picture.
Maybe it’s my daddy issues but I felt like despite the narrative being told in the book. Miguel didn’t really work on his relationship with Zeke. His priorities seemed to be work and Lorena and I just simply couldn’t shake that feeling off.
Overview: As the VP of Los Diablos MC, Miguel has taken on alot in his life. He is known to be the level headed one that evens out the crazy that is his club president Loco. This all changes when a young boy is randomly dropped off at the compound with a letter claiming that Miguel is the father. Being a father was the last thing in his thoughts but with the help of his sister he enrolled his son into school. The last thing he expected was for his kindergarten teacher to be a ray of sunshine in his life. Lorena has one major rule, don’t date the parents of your students, so why did Miguel make her want to break everyone of them. She isn’t made for the life of a MC Vieja but something is drawing her to Miguel no matter what dangers lie in the way.
Review: Jade has created a world where the precieved bad guys are the ones you call when things go wrong. Once you are apart of the Los Diablos family they have your back for life! You will fall in love with all the characters, even the roughest ones ( 😉Loco)!
I have fallen in love with the Los Diablos MC Club and Miguel is now on the top of my book boyfriend list. The love he showed a child that was dropped off on his doorstep was unconditional. I love to see a man taking care of his responsibilities. I also love it when a man falls first and boy does Miguel fall. He works hard to prove to Lorena that he wants her for the long run and the spice is on point. The disability rep in this book is great and handle with care. I also loved that I got to see some of my favorite characters from the prequel, Ink.
Please head on over and grab you a copy of this book today! If you haven't read the prequel Ink, please read that one first to understand some of the things happening in this book.
I want to thank Jade for sending me an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review!
ARC Read - 5/5⭐️ I loved it Miguel and Lorena really did it for me. I haven’t read a good Latin XMC book I think ever it was so entertaining. All the characters were amazing Lorena I think is one of my favorite female main characters probably ever written Zeke, my perfect little baby boy, I love him so much like that little boy was so perfect and so adorable. I can quite literally picture him in my mind I love the relationship between Miguel and his sister Camila, mostly with all the death that they have gone through and just the trauma in general that they have gone through. The representation of deaf characters in this book, when it came to Desi and Zeke I think was really good mostly coming from a person who doesn’t really know a lot about that community, but it was explained really well. And Lorena when it came to Desi not letting anyone not talk to her unless they were looking at her that is a top-tier friend and honestly just a good person in general because I’m guessing this is something that a lot of deaf people go through all the time and it’s something that really isn’t fair and it’s something that’s not talked about enough where They talk to you but they don’t look at you when they talk to you or you can’t read their lips when they talk to you and I loved how it was shown in the book that she wouldn’t let anyone talk to her friend unless she could read their lips, and she wouldn’t answer any questions for her, because Desi grown women and can answer her questions by herself , they just either have to sign or let her read their lips. The found family aspect of this book was so cute and so good because I got the feeling that it was something that Lorena thought she would never really get the way that she wanted to and she deserved to have a family 🖤🖤.
Miguel is the VP of the Los Diablos Motorcycle Club and he is caught off guard when a 5 year old boy is dropped off at the clubhouse with a note that say's he is Miguel's son. When Miguel gets his son enrolled in school he finds himself immediately drawn to his son's Kindergarten teacher.
There was so much I loved about this book! 1. The representation and the respect and research that was obviously done into people that are either deaf or hard of hearing. 2. This is exactly what I want when I am reading a MC romance. The found family was fantastic and I love so many of the side characters just as much as I loved the main characters in this. I finished reading this and I was instantly excited for the rest of this series. 3. I loved Miguel and Lorena! This was insta-love/ insta-lust done right. Their chemistry and tension was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat. 4. This plot was wonderful. There was the perfect balance of romance and action/drama outside of the relationship which is anything thing I love when MC romance is done right.
I can't recommend this book and this series enough. I am obsessed and I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of this series.
This was everything I wanted in an MC book and more!
So, I've loved Hernández's books, but this book just solidified my spot as a forever fan of hers. Lorena and Miguel's love story was passionate and beautifully written. Miguel is a classic MC man who lives on the edge and runs on machismo and strength, yet in an instant, his life is changed when he finds the son he never knew of is left at his door. After this moment, we see a shift in Miguel's character, revealing his emotionally complex side. Lorena was a beautifully gentle kinder teacher with a silent strength to her, so you can imagine how interesting their first meeting was, to say the least. While the road to their love was filled with trials, the ending will leave you satiated deep in your heart. Even the side characters added to the experience—and if suspicions are correct, we'll see many of them again soon. In the writing, you can feel the dear author's care and love for these characters, so you can't help but love them, too.
From the delicately and beautifully written scenes of family, exceptional representation, and delicious spice scenes, this book is a fantastic read, and I think you'll love it too. Please check the triggers before diving in, though!
Tropes: Latinx MC romance Set in Mexico MC VP/School teacher Sunshine FMC Single dad HoH/Deaf rep Insta-lust Dual POV
I loved getting back into the Los Diablos world. We get a little more of the actual MC life with Miguel and his role as VP. I'm not sure if every member is going to get their own book, but the more I get to know these characters, the more I want to see them all get their HEA. I loved that despite the insta-lust, we get some tension and build-up before things get spicy. Lorena is sweet and sunshine but also fiercely protective of her students. I thought the way machismo was shown as part of the culture was necessary, but also calling it out brings attention to how problematic it is. Even though the MC lifestyle can be machista AF, the women balance it out by being strong and independent.
Overall, I loved the book and how things progressed for Miguel and Lorena's relationship. I highly recommend this book for fans of mafia/cartel/MC romances but also crave more diversity. Check trigger warnings before reading.
I’m kicking my mood reader brain for waiting so long ro read this! I got an arc of it way back last year but because of my anxiety, I wasn’t in the headspace to read anything but sweet romance. I finally read Ink the other day and jumped straight into Miguel right after and really enjoyed it.
I just recently became profoundly deaf. I have a cochlear implant now but I basically lap up any representation of deafness in media. I appreciated that Jade used a sensitivity reader in relation to the Deaf characters in an effort to portray them to the best of her knowledge. I loved how the characters all interacted with Desi and Zeke!
I found Lorena a bit harder to relate to because she was such a goody two shoes but I loved the way she embraces Zeke and eventually Miguel. Her sunshine to his stoic was cute.
I’m going to have to send Jade my therapy bills after giving me an 80% conflict and then a 90%. The damn audacity! 😂
Overall this wasn’t as dark as I thought it was going to be and I quite enjoyed it! I’m excited to read Desi and Mayan’s story next!
🌶🌶🌶 Miguel by Jade Hernandez, is a motorcycle club romance. I loved that two of the main characters are part of the hard of hearing community and that they were well represented, you could also tell the topic was well researched. This book takes place in Mexico and the author did a great job describing the culture, language and hardships that women encounter living there. The descriptive writing was also very well done. Lorena is a kindergarten school teacher who crosses paths with Miguel, a VP with the Diablos, a prominent motorcycle gang. Lorena along with her best friend (and roommate) Desiree find themselves needing the help of Miguel and his Club which they learn can be a very dangerous lifestyle.
Tropes: touch her and die, bad boy/school teacher, Latin FMC/MMC, set in Mexico, HOH Representation, single father, curvy FMC, motorcycle club romance
Off I run to go read "Ink", also by Jade Hernandez!!
As the VP of Los Diablos Motorcycle club, Miguel is known for being level-headed. His even tempered nature is thrown into a tailspin when a former one night stand drops off his 5 year old son at the compound. Lorena has led a simple life as well loved kinder teacher until the moment she meets her new student's dad.
I came across this one when L.M. Ramirez posted the ARC sign up, and I am so glad. MC romance is one of my favorite tropes, and Miguel will definitely be added to my list of recommendations for it. I loved seeing Miguel's journey from a single man to a devoted dad, and I was so proud of him by the end. Lorena does not just fall into the swoon worthy Miguel's lap, and I can't say I would've been as committed to making him sweat. This wild ride is full of sweet and spicy moments and left me wanting more. I will absolutely be watching out for the next book of the Los Diablos. If you're looking for a new book boyfriend, look no further than Papi Miguel.

FANTASTIC!!! I loved Miguel so much! The story was fantastic the different types of representation and relationships were amazing, the development and growth ugh I just loved it! THIS is the kind of MC romance I love! Not only were the characters great and had their own struggles they had to work through separately and together but the club dynamic was EVERYTHING!!! They were funny, strong, protective, the banter with everyone, it really showed that found family aspect, good or bad they had your back and I loved the way it was displayed. Lorena the FMC was sweet and beautiful but strong and protective and stood her ground and really took her time with who she wanted to be and what she wanted I really liked that. Miguel the MMC was just to die for! He was flirty and that mouth and his dominance 🥵 but he also showed vulnerability and gentleness and patience. The other members of the club were also so fun to read! I can’t wait for more! I know I’m going to love me some more Mayan!
Sweet Teacher Meets Tough Biker in this MC Romance!
Wow, this was such an unexpectedly cute MC story! We’ve got our sweet teacher, Lorena who’s totally giving Ms. Honey vibes (IYKYK) and falling for the big, tough biker and his adorable son. Then there’s Miguel, the hot biker who’s feeling like something’s missing in his life until everything flips upside down when he suddenly becomes a single father. Their lives connect through the absolute cutie that is Zeke, Miguel’s son, and I loved watching Miguel’s journey into fatherhood and Lorena’s path to falling for him. I loved the hearing impaired community representation in this storyline as well and the challenges individuals and their families face! I highly recommend this series! It is easily one of the best MC romances I’ve read in a long time!
I received this ARC from the author in exchange for my review. ❤️
4.5 stars rounded up.
I loved this story so much! Miguel and Lorena were just complete opposites, yet the perfect pair!
One day a 5 year old kid gets dropped off to Miguel with the mom saying it's his and leaves without a word abandoning her son. So Miguel goes from VP of motorcycle gang to single dad in a heartbeat. His world has been completely flipped as he tries to navigate this new dad life and then here comes the Zekes kinder teacher Lorena, and Miguel turns into "touch her and you die" possessive and ugh I love it!
❤️🔥 Dangerous grumpy MC x Swooney teacher ❤️🔥 Mexican Romance with Spanish writing ❤️🔥 HOH representation
I cannot wait to read the story lines for the rest of the Los Diablos gang!
Read the book! It will not disappoint! The level of spice 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️ 🌶️… but the way Miguel softens his heart for his child and Lorena! May this kind of possessive love find us all lol
Favorite Quote: None of that mattered when he bent down and took my mouth in a scorching kiss. Tongues tangling, teeth crashing, we didn’t pull apart until we heard dog whistles and cries in our direction. “Let her breathe!” someone shouted. “¡ No coman pan en frente de los pobres!” another one screamed. I wasn’t sure who’d said that, but I found myself laughing at the expression. ‘Don’t eat bread in front of the poor’ never failed to make my eyes water with laughter. 😂
Miguel follows the next couple in the Los Diablos club and it was SO GOOD!!!
I loved the sunshine teacher x grumpy moody MMC and seeing him as a single dad, ugh it was AMAZING!
Their dynamic was so fun and as always Jade writes phenomenal spice!!
There was also an appearance from Ink and Xio😫
Also the Deaf rep I thought was written very well. I liked how it was shown them learning about Zeke’s deafness, him getting his hearing aids and then the entire family learning ASL together.
Overall a great read and I am so thankful for the arc!!
This had the perfect mix of tender and "oh my godddd" moments. Lorena and Miguel instantly have that electric energy, but there is still enough of a burn that it doesn't feel like insta-lust or -love. The focus on family, both found and by blood, was done so well. There is also signficant deaf and hard of hearing representation in this one which I think was done beautifully. Great pacing, romance, and action. All around, another fun, spicy MC book from Jade!
Alsoooo there were quite a few plot lines building for future books that I am very much looking forward too!
