A black cat for a witch may be a cliché, but add a whole bunch of tribal tattoos and an intolerance to garlic (seriously), and you have Isabelle Rowan.
Having moved to Australia from England as a small child, Isabelle now lives in a seaside suburb of Melbourne where she teaches film making and English. She is a movie addict who spends far too much money on traveling… but then again, life is to be lived.
This is a very short love story but I thought it was very poignant. I am a sap for love that transcends life and death. I think that the author did a good job pulling me into the story in only a few short pages. That is tough to accomplish, but it was well done in this case and I'd love to know more about these characters.
Interesting concept, I just wish this had been a little less "things that go bump in the night" and a little more "things that go bump and grind in the night".
And this is why I keep reading the Halloween Howl stories despite being disappointed by so many of them. While most of them have been a scene and not a complete story, Rowan knows how to write a short story, and executes it well. Waiting drew me in, piqued my curiosity, but also my compassion for the MC who is waiting -- yearning -- for something, no someone, without consciously understanding.
It was cute. It was also rather pedestrian, but it was still cute. It's a no-sex story, but I thought the character interactions were really rather good. It was a bit abbreviated, but it's a short story. *shrug
I think I actually preferred the no-sex because it did mention
It gave their relationship this beautiful almost transcendental purity that was really sweet.
Marcus has waiting forever as in forever for his love . He has always entered into hi loves Daniel dreams when he was young. But he waited fir the perfect timing
