River: I just want this year to be over, but it’s just beginning. I want to complete my final year of school without any problems, keep my head low and not make any new friends. But most importantly stay in the closet so my homophobic parents don’t find out I’m gay.
Griffin: After moving cities over the summer for rough reasons, I don’t really have a plan for this school year besides complete it while staying calm and adjusting to the major changes that recently happened in my life. Maybe make a friend or two but that’s it, anything else might be too much for me to handle.
When the two boys meet, both of their plans may change as they grow closer and become friends. But will they become something more?

I love this book dearly. The characters felt so real that I would stop reading to wanna give them a hug. I laughed, cried, and screamed until the very end. The author did an amazing job and I recommend to everyone who down for a beautiful coming of age story.
