This book was a major disappointment. The hero and heroine met a few years ago and fell in love. They separate so she can experience life but the hero ALWAYS knew he was going back to her.
This is a case of the (virginal) heroine waited for the hero... while the hero slept around and was in a relationship with OW. He "made love" to OW, not just fucked. That sickens my stomach, especially in the way he told the heroine as if he cheated on her.
Gross, not my kind of book, will never finish. I'm used to safe reads from this author and this book just gave me the major ick.

Okay so I need to get this off my chest:
I read the Hogan Brothers series a few years ago and was introduced to Braxton’s character. When I heard that there would be a book about Braxton and Jossilyn (so curious about it cause the third book was my favorite) I was SO excited. And so I waited patiently and marked the date in my calendar.
Imagine my shock when I go on the author’s Instagram page and she mentions that Braxton was introduced in « Loving the girl in the tutu ». I had never heard of it and it seemed strange because Braxton literally comes from the Hogan Brothers series. So I decided to read the book and imagine my surprise when not only does it talk about Jossilyn but also about how BRAXTON HAS A WHOLE RELATIONSHIP AND SEGGS WITH ANOTHER WOMAN even though he is « so in love » with Jossilyn and wants to get with her in the future.

I freaking hate when MC do that. So yes I’m just disappointed that I waited months for a book to come out and I already know the MMC got ruined for me in another book.
This relationship and book won’t feel special to me even if I read it. So imma pass on this one. So disappointed.

What a beautiful story! Protective alpha/romantic suspense/ second chance! Definitely a page turner.
Jossilyn-an author-she has written some books on her childhood and a romance novel based on her and Braxton. Braxton and Jossilyn had a brief relationship until he was gone. Now he’s back in her life to protect her from an online stalker. Wait til you find out who it is? Keep this in mind, her childhood was not the best. Will Jossilyn and Braxton once again reconnect? Will whoever is stalking Jossilyn be taken down?
It seems these two are fire! Their chemistry and the way they respond to each is electric. From the time Braxton came back into Jossilyn’s life, all I wanted was for them to realize they were meant to be together in the end.

This is one time I REALLY wish I'd read the reviews first. It would have been a hard pass.
I absolutely HATE books where they go on and on about how in love the MMC is with the FMC, and how he knows she's his forever, but in the mean time, he goes around screwing everyone. That is NOT love. This is even worse. He tells her how he knew she was it for him but that he made love, not just sex, with someone else to "help" the other woman. How sweet 🤢/s I'm sure she really enjoyed hearing all about how he did that. And to top it off she's really hurt already.
It's a real turn off.

Oh. My. Heart!
I thought I was prepared for Josslyn and Braxton’s story. After meeting them previously they both stole my heart in their own way. But I wasn’t prepared!
This author does it each and every time! She gives us so much, she shares her craft with us and never fails to pull every emotion from me. This is so beautifully written and I am still sat here, in wonder and awe.

Always an intense but short story of love between two deserving people. Jossilyn truly deserves it after the live she has lived in her young life so far, so much experience, and not the good kind. Braxton is finally her knight in shining armor and he proves it with his actions, as well as his words. Loved seeing all the previous characters of other stories as well. A story of forgiveness and love.

Intense read that will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. Jossilyn has suffered so much at the hands of her father but finally got her freedom from his cult. But then threats are sent and she is no longer safe. Braxton is hired to protect Jossilyn. This is his second chance to prove he isn't ever leaving her again.

I enjoyed reading this delightful book by KL Donn. Jossilyn and Braxton were perfect for each other despite her heartbreaking history and his guilt of leaving her behind. I devoured this well written book and I look forward to reading more from KL.

This is a second chance romance that you will want to read! Braxton and Jossilyn got their HEA this round after everything they both been through, especially Joss. Of course Ms Donn men is going to be the possessive and protective of their women. It’s a must read for me, but then anything from this author I’m running to read!! 5 🌟

I liked it a lot, it just felt a little like jumping on a moving train because it seems the characters were introduced in a previous book. Trigger’s for past abuse of characters.
