ALL WHO DISTURB THE TOMB OF IMHOTEP ARE DOOMED TO DIE. AND PROFESSOR JAMES ACTON HAS JUST DISCOVERED ITS LOCATION.
Djoser, Pharaoh of Egypt, has set his eyes on his next conquest.
Imhotep’s youngest sister.
Imhotep, respected physician and architect, trusted advisor to Djoser, is placed in an impossible position—turn a blind eye, condemning his sister’s future, or lose everything by intervening.
Unfortunately, the gods offer him a third, more terrifying choice.
And almost 5000 years later, Professors James Acton and Laura Palmer pay the price when they dare disturb the final, cursed resting place of Imhotep.

Prophetic words... Ones that were ignored when the tomb was discovered... Many years later, once again the words ignored as greed and corruption override all...
A fascinating tale, replete in amazing action scenes and multiple plotlines that all intertwine into an explosive ending!
I am surprised I'm saying this, because J. Robert Kennedy is one of my favourite authors. It was a whole lot of shooting and not much else....EXCEPT....for the back story. It was poignant and heart-breaking. This Imhotep (not the one from the Brendan Fraser movies) was stunningly portrayed.
This was book 38 in the James Acton series and I always look forward to reading these. This one takes place in southern Egypt back 2000 years BC and current day. Imhotep is a respected advisor to the Pharaoh Djoser but when he learns his sister is at peril he makes a tough decision. Current day has the professors at a dig site where they believe his tomb is discovered. Non-stop action with Russians, Bedouins and Sudanese make this an exciting read in just one afternoon!
Professor James Acton’s and wife, Laura Palmer at it again
Never a dull moment with these two, and no disappointment except maybe a little. Another action packed storyline, but I must be spoiled expecting an action packed ending but this time left me a little disappointed anyway a great read.
I just love how this author weaves 2 stories at the same time, perfectly related to one another. Yet, we know the author certainly is "creative" when it comes to adding a bit of his own "historical events". A wonderful read.
Book 38 was an okay read and had errors throughout. The plot was predictable and repetitive with some information. The characters were running back and forth and was a bit slow.
Rob does a great job of providing a solid and interesting backstory, in between the excitement and adventure only Jim and Laura can provide. A fast great read.
Love the history and present come together. The action scenes are retailed and make you feel like you're watching it right in front of you. Another great book. Thank you.
