Lead and Succeed Like the World’s Greatest Business Innovator There’s no accounting for Steve Jobs’s mind. He just didn’t think the way the rest of the world does. Regarded by many as the most innovative and influential business leader of our time, Jobs was a visionary beyond compare. He was why Apple is Apple and everyone else is everyone else. We can’t transform ourselves into Steve Jobs. How he put his ideas into action, however, was systematic, efficient, focused, and smart. And this you can do. What Would Steve Jobs Do? presents the six-part business model Jobs applied to make Apple the most valuable publicly traded manufacturing corporation in the world and the global model for business excellence. While the results of this model can be profound, each step is something you can easily focus on with clarity and Customer ―Understand your customers so well that you know what they want more than they do. Vision ―Don’t stop thinking at “new product”; synthesize your ideas, products, and technologies around a specific game-changing customer issue. Culture ―Create an environment filled with people who consider “can’t” a bad word. Product ―Approach your product as something that can change the world― not just something to beat the competition or get a job done. Message ―Deliver a message so compelling that it becomes an extension of the product itself. Personal Brand ―Make people think constancy, promise, and trust when they think of you. Steve Jobs was a true original. What we’ve all learned from him is incalculable. And what we can continue to learn from him will shape the world. Transform your organization, recast your future, and do your part to redefine our world using the wisdom and foresight of the greatest business sage in generations.
I'm a big fanatic of a fan of Apple and Steve Jobs. I would read any book and write about them and therefore I bought this book.
In author, Peter Sander's view he broken down six areas that he thinks will help you approach the way Steve Jobs did: customer, vision, culture, product, message and personal brand. But in my personal view, it doesn't seem to be interesting enough.
Anyway, it is a good read and it has offered a simple guide on how you can be experienced the Steve Jobs' way.
A brief explanation of how Steve Jobs got what he had done in his life and divided it into 6 aspects : customer, vision, culture, product, message, and brand. It's a good book, it gives me inspirations and insights especially about leadership and product, but I just don't really like the way the author compare him to other leaders at some parts in this book.
I hoped this book would be useful, but it's just a cash-in on the Steve Jobs/Apple cult.
Author Peter Sander chooses six areas that he thinks will help you approach business the way Steve Jobs did: customer, vision, culture, product, message and personal brand.
Unfortunately Sander never goes into depth in any of these areas. It's like reading six magazine articles batches together than a book that you expect will give a comprehensive look at a topic.
The only reason I have this book three stars and not two is that I like Jobs and Apple so much, and for cultists like me, it's a fun read. But I'll be ditching my copy now; it's not a keeper.

This is a great book that focuses on five areas that you can focus on to build your own brand/company/trademark. It walks through ways that Steve Jobs excelled in these five areas: Customer, Vision, Culture, Product, and Message. Great read with a lot of insightful management wisdom.
Everything I have learned in this book I have already read in the Walter Isaacson autobiography, which if I may add is a completely better read than this pseudo inspirational book.
