He might be the hottest teacher in town but not even Noah Redmond can convince me to date a small-town guy. The last thing I want is to put my awesome aerospace career on pause while I run my dad's hardware store, but duty calls, so what am I supposed to do? I can't wait to get out of Creekville again, and I'm doing great keeping everyone at arm's length until my best friend tries to set me up with the hot new high school coach. He's got me literally tripping over my own feet, but I'm not giving in to those dimples. I'm burnt out on love, but Grace Winters is the funniest--and most attractive--woman I've ever met. Too bad Creekville is just a detour for her. I get it. But when I recruit her to help me build a booth for the town's biggest event of the year, I learn just how irresistible she is. And if that's not bad enough, when I talk her into fake dating to convince my boss I'm ready for a promotion, we share an unplanned kiss that blurs every line we've drawn. Is Grace and Noah's undeniable chemistry worth risking their friendship when their future is anything but certain? Get ready for small town charm and toe-curling kisses!
This was a perfect romance for me! From their first hilariously awkward encounter, Noah and Grace had an effortless banter that immediately pulled me in.
Putting her career in aerospace design on hold, Grace is temporarily back home to help with the family hardware store. Knowing her days in Creekville are numbered, a long-term relationship isn’t her priority—putting Noah in the friend-zone.
… And these two made me so giddy!
Both carrying a personal commitment to help their families, I loved the realistic conflicts that surrounded not only their relationship but also their careers. This story was absolutely adorable, but it had a lot of depth too!
With a dash of fake dating, an annual Christmas Town festival, and an epilogue that made me swoon with delight, I’ll definitely be recommending this sweet read for the upcoming season!

Ok so I have a few issues with this book. First off the ENTIRE premise is that Noah and Grace are fake dating so that he can be promoted to head football coach and he spends the entire book working his ass off to prove to his school Principal that he is loyal and is going to plant roots in his small town and he deserves the chance and then he literally proves his Principal right by up and quitting to follow the girl?!! Nah, sorry but literally Grace should have been the one to compromise because Noah worked so hard throughout this whole book and the whole ending felt like a sham.
Nope, that ending ruined this whole book for me. I loved every minute of it up until I realized what he was going to do. Literally the Principal said word for word what would happen and he did everything to prove her wrong and then did it anyway.

This book was yummy! The tension and build up were fantastic and gave my belly all the flutters of anticipation. I love when that happens. Even after the first kiss, it was all charged tension. Chemistry swirling. Mmmmm, yummy.
Grace and Noah are both great characters. I'm definitely a Noah fan, if we are picking sides, and I am. Noah is such a stand up guy- making his sister and her daughter his priority, working hard and keeping a level head with a great dose of humor. See? Why wouldn't I be his fan? Plus, the way he looks at Grace? Sigh. . .
I loved the feeling of family and community in this book and the setting around the holidays. There was a lot of fun happening in these pages. We start with a wedding, and then have both Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the perfect book to read right now!
Content: some mild cursing, including hand gesture. Kissing.
- I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Thank you, Melanie Jacobson, for an e-arc of Kiss the Girl in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED the first line! It hooked me right in and the humor and fun banter kept me invested and smiling the whole way through. Grace and Noah were so perfect for each other and I loved getting to know them both. The entire book was truly such a joy to read.

Kiss the Girl was my first Melanie Jacobson book and I cannot wait to read more by her. It comes out November 3rd, so make sure to preorder so you can read right away and get into the holiday spirit! ❤️
It's time for some Christmas romance! This was a fun one. Some good chemistry! Fun story line that is believable and not crazy predictable. Sweet and clean.
A Christmas romance about two friends who get caught in their own faking dating trap. It’s swoony and unapologetically funny.
I loved the small-town vibes, with the classic Hallmark channel set up, but this story offered depth to it. The story follows Grace Winters, who has returned to her small hometown of Creekville to run her Dad's hardware store due to his health issues. Now that her dad is getting better, she is anxious to get back to her career in aerospace design, which means she doesn't have time to fall in love with the new high school coach in her small town. Noah knows that Grace doesn't plan on staying in town, but he can't help but fall for her.
Basically, I loved it and will be reading more from Melanie Jacobson. It's a “clean” romance but still has LOTS of sizzle with perfect wit, and swoony banter. There is mild language if you're trying to avoid that.

Everything about this book was heartwarming and adorable and I absolutely loved it! PE teacher Noah first lays eyes on Grace--or her near-naked butt--as she is performing bridesmaid duties at their friend's wedding. Noah has been dreading the wedding due to a recent breakup with a former fiancé, and Grace also has put her life and career as an aerospace engineer on hold and is 'home' in Creekville running her father's hardware store as he undergoes cancer treatments. Both of these characters have huge hearts for their families and, eventually, for each other.
Kiss the Girl is written with great humor and felt so close to home. I didn't feel like the fake dating was over done, I didn't feel like the characters were overexaggerated or immature, I just loved reading this story from beginning to end!
From the first utterly embarrassing meet cute to the last swoony spark, this book was a delicious treat. Jacobson knows how to pack a punch of emotion and chemistry into her pages and I was all over it.
Grace grew up in a small town and desperate to escape, she's back to care for her sick father. Noah thrives in Creekville and is trying to climb the ladder in the public school hierarchy and needs to prove to the principal that he's committed. Enter a fake relationship with Grace. I can't resist a fake relationship, especially when the swoon is sizzling off the pages. Add to that a small town celebration? Yes, please!
Although Noah and Grace seem so opposite, especially in their hopes and dreams, there's something about the way they complement each other and come together that is so right and satisfying. And to be honest, I had NO idea how this book was going to end. I felt so tortured and torn by the uncertainty, yet things couldn't have been more perfect.
I'll be back, Creekville! I'm not through with you yet.
This was my first Christmas book this December and it was a great start to the holidays. Thanks to @fortheloveofbooks_bookclub for choosing Kiss the Girl for it’s Christmas read. It was absolutely adorable!
I liked that multiple holidays were covered in this story which helped make the romance/relationship more realistic. From the very beginning, I was invested. It was good. Like, such a breath of fresh air. I may have shed a few tears at the end. Their Christmas morning was really special. 🥺🎄🎅🏻 If you’re in the market for a sweet Christmas romance, this is it.
dnf. Not for me. I couldn’t connect with both Grace, Noah or their story. Their story wasn’t really exciting and the contant reminder of Grace planning to leave soon could have been limited. Points for the side characters though, I fell in love with Paige.
Oh. My. Goodness! This book is full of cuteness. Chemistry. You know that feeling at the END of the book where you get the “yes! They finally clicked and kiss” feeling? Yeah, Melanie had that from like chapter 2!!! I also appreciated this book because it didn’t happen overnight. It starts in summer/fall and worked through Christmas. It felt real. And you can literally open it up at random, poke your finger on any page, and find a hilarious quote!
If this isn’t on your Christmas shelf, ask Santa to drop it in your stocking!! I actually think I may reread this again this season. (And I don’t always reread books!)
This book was utter perfection. I love Creekville so much. Noah. Noah. NOAH 😭😭😭💕💕 This basically sums up the entire book: "(The) chemistry is so hot it's uncomfortable for the rest of us"
Creekville is back with this swoon worthy story and can I just say I was so happy to be back in this delightful little town reading as a new romance grew. Might I say I loved it even more than the other Creekville story earlier this year? And even Kiss Me Now that has a fun tie in? Seriously, Kiss the Girl was hands down wonderful all with the little magic that comes with Christmas and mistletoe. Does it really get better than that? No, I don't know if it can.
I loved Grace and Noah's story. They are both such deep characters with big hearts. Some of my favorite people in the book world now. Grace's drive to be herself and do something with her life is inspiring. Noah's passion for what he does and how he can change the lives of teenagers is yet again, inspiring. And the chemistry between them is oh so perfect. Together they really are a perfect match and let's just say that Melanie Jacobson had me on the edge of my seat the last quarter of the book as I was trying to figure out how everything could work out for them in the end.
Melanie Jacobson has done it again with Kiss the Girl. Everyone go pick this one up! Christmas, small-town, hot and down to earth guy, smart and sassy girl, Creekville residents, fake dating...I could go on, this book has it all. Loved every minute of reading it.
*I received a complimentary copy from the publishers, publicists, and/or author(s). A review was not required and all opinions are my own.
Such a cute story! I really loved this cute romance and let me tell you, Noah and Grace were ADORABLE! Often times the hero or the heroine in a novel will stick out to me more, but in this case, I equally loved Grace and Noah's characters and am super grateful the author did dual POV so I got to know what was going on for each of them individually. The chemistry in this book is sizzling right off the page. All the swoon and romantic tension to give you the feels without ever toeing the line or crossing into what for me is inappropriate content. The kisses were fantastic, but made even more so because of the genuine and deep connection that had developed between Grace and Noah. All the little moments that built their relationship left me with a smile on my face and eager to read this book again. Definitely one I would recommend. While it is connected to Kiss the Girl, this is a complete standalone and you don't have to read them in series order (though that book is fabulous too and I recommend it as well).
Sumamente recomendable!!!

What I liked -This was such a cute book! I pretty much enjoyed everything about this the main characters and their families were such charming characters. -I really enjoyed the emphasis on family and sacrifices that we have to make for them. I also liked the discussion of following your dreams and going after want you want. -Noah and Grace were so cute and they basically stole my heart from the beginning. They had the most hilarious meet cute and their banter was top notch.
What I didn't like -There wasn't really anything I disliked about this book. This is the quintessential Christmas romance and while it isn't very memorable, it's quite charming.
CW: discussion of family member with an illness, death of a loved one 🎄🎄🎄🎄
DNF at 52%. I have really liked the books from this author. But this book recycles some plot points from the first book in the series. Both use the “we won’t be living in the same place someday so I can’t date you” excuse by their female main character. Which is kinda annoying but it made sense in the first book to see some of that. In this book, they are both interested and attracted. But she can’t date cause she’s going to move away eventually. Ugh.
Also, the dude’s boss basically tells him “I won’t promote you cause you’re single. But I’ll just tell you obliquely cause actually not promoting you cause you’re single would be illegal”. So the male main character makes up a girlfriend. I hate this obvious abuse of power being cow-towed to.
Also, the constant negative motivation of the female main character is just so exhausting. She wants him and just wants to revel in fake dating him without being willing to be adults and just date and see where it goes.
Sigh. I love this small town and the characters. I might jump ahead to the end just to see a few things. But this middle is dragging on and on.
“For what it’s worth,” he said as he stepped through it, “I wouldn’t want to fake date anyone else but you.” “Add ‘fake date and real make out with anyone else’ and I agree.”
This was such a fun holiday romance for me! Their awkward but hilarious encounter has me loving Grace and Noah from the start!
Grace is temporarily back in town with her family after putting her aerospace design on hold to take care of her dad. Little did she know she would hit it off with a certain small town boy. But how can she prioritize a long-term relationship when she is leaving?
This story was pure Hallmark gold.

""We need to talk." ...Stalling. Nothing good ever followed that phrase."
Oh boy, that is so true.
This book certainly starts off with a bang, or a slip in Grace's case. I was immediately drawn into the chaotic and sometimes embarrassing life of Grace and Noah. The banter between these two was engaging and entertaining. The setting and the secondary characters were perfect complements. I laughed out loud a time or two.
I didn't prefer the rather steamy make-out scenes, but I did appreciate Noah standing up for his boundaries. On a steaminess level I would rate this a hot PG-13.
Dual POV - Noah and Grace are the sweetest individuals ever. Noah is a teacher. Grace is an aerospace designer at Boeing. They meet and have major sparks but both have different visions of their long term geographical future- and so Grace pushes Noah into the friend zone. They become such good friends while wanting so much more, and I was rooting for these two so hard.
This has a Christmas theme but I think this book can be enjoyed at any time of the year. The Christmas elements are not heavy, but just enough to add that Christmas magic.
