All I wanted was to live life on my terms, inspire others, and love Turner and Roark. I was surprised when Derek popped back into my life, but willing to forgive when I realized my mother caused him so much pain. I couldn’t blame him for hating me, but I can demand better.
And then… my life shattered. Have I finally lost touch with reality? Are the things I’m seeing just a figment of my imagination? I no longer know…
Did Roark and Turner really have me committed to Hidden Hills? Have they washed their hands of me like the doctors say? Love is supposed to conquer all, but the hospital staff keep showing me proof that my loves have moved on.
I’m spiraling, everyone in this place is evil, and rehabilitation looks a lot like torture. Will I ever get to the truth?
The Sweetest is book two in the Darkest Nights series, a dark reverse harem romance. This means that the female main character will have three or more love interests and will not have to choose in the end. This book has a trigger please email the author to get the full list, or they will be updated on the first page of the book.
I am officially sending Jenn Bullard my therapist bill. The amount of angst that the cliffhanger alone has left me with will cost a fortune, let alone the rest of the emotions from this story. I will never look at the word pineapple the same way. Thanks Jenn….
I could not put this book down. I thought The Darkest Chord was great, but this one takes the cake. There are so many scenes that will rip your heart out, but there are also scenes that will have you giggling as well as some great moments with some characters that I was so glad to see again.
I was hoping we would see more of Orion after his appearance in book one, and boy do we see more of him… 👀
This one is significantly darker then The Darkest Chord so please read the warnings and make sure you are prepared. I am absolutely yelling at Jenn right now and I am in desperate need of the next book.
I am honestly at a loss for words. First off check the trigger warnings as this book is dark and gets more so throughout. It picks up where The Darkest Chord leaves off and can NOT be read out of order. I have decided that Jenn’s mind is a scary place after this one but we still love her anyway! It was amazing to get to see the gang again from the Unwritten Truths Duet. If you want to learn about Tori and her harem it is another 5 🌟 read. We also meet a new character that I am fully expecting to join the gang in more ways than one and am a little disturbed with myself that he is becoming my new favorite.
**Adhere to the trigger warnings!** this is an ARC review.
If you've read ANYTHING by Jenn, you know she is the queen of cliffhangers! I wanted to yell and scream when I finished. I definitely felt like I was losing my touch with reality and I was reading Lenny's parts. I love how Jenn bounces from different point of views so I can come to Mt own conclusions. I am so excited for part 3!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Repor All I wanted was to live life on my terms, inspire others, and love Turner and Roark. I was surprised when Derek popped back into my life, but willing to forgive when I realized my mother caused him so much pain. I couldn't blame him for hating me, but I can demand better. And then...my life shattered. Have I finally lost touch with reality? Are the things I'm seeing just a figment of my imagination? I no longer know... Did Roark and Turner really have me committed to Hidden Hills? Have they washed their hands of me like the doctors say? Love is supposed to conquer all, but the hospital staff keeps showing me proof that my loves have moved on. I'm spiraling, everyone in this place is evil, and rehabilitation looks a lot like torture. This is the second book in the Darkest Nights series. It is a dark reverse harem romance and you need to read the first book or you are going to be lost. You will also want to make sure you check the trigger warnings. It will contain triggers for some readers. Holy wow!!!! This is a really emotional book and picks up right where The Darkest Chord left off. You will spend a lot of time in the mind of Lennon and I have yet to decide if it is as scary as it seemed while reading or not. However you can't help but to love the girl and she really goes through it in this book. Lennon is in a psychiatric hospital however how she got there won't come until the end of the book. Her head is being filled with all kinds of things in the center that really have her reeling. But Turner and Roark are doing the very best they can to not fall apart without her. It's very hard for them to deal with and they really keep it all to themselves. The fewer people that know what is going on the better. They would never want to be a burden to anyone else. We are also introduced to a new character who is Odin and that a whole special kind of crazy that you don't know you need until you have it. I can't really tell you much about this story. I don't want to give something away. But this book is on that will really mess with your head and leave you almost throwing your kindle against the wall. I so can not wait to see what happens in the next book.
Through love all that is bitter will be made sweet. Man I hope that is true because everyone in this story for the most part has had a rough time. Everyone is fighting demons in some way. This book wrecked me. Can any of them catch a break? Lennon's mom is a horrible human being and those she associates with are even worse. Jenn was not afraid to go there in this book and as hard as some parts may be you have to know redemption is right around the corner, because honestly they are already at rock bottom, Broken. They have all been beaten and bruised and I still don't know how they will be put back together fully. There will be scars. Orion.... I will say I saw him coming in a way but the extent of him, who he is and what he does.... DEFINITELY did NOT see that one coming. I do love his dynamic with Derek and the growing but instant care he has for Lennon. For this family though, just when you think how much lower can they fall? Really Jenn? They fall harder. I think I threw my kindle down more than once so frustrated with everything happening to not only Lennon but all of them. Roark, Turner, Derek, Orion, even Lennon's sister. The reach and the psychotic minds of the "bad guys" in this book is crazy, though we do get to start seeing a little redemption in the end that is so well deserved, but if people and places like that really exist.... Lord help us... I read a lot and honestly so many books have become predictable. Yes, there may be a small twist here or there but one thing Jenn is great at it is keeping you guessing and this book is no exception. This book was so good, so real, so sad, so heartbreaking and emotional but amazing all at the same time. The cliff hanger is brutal and I await the light at the end of the tunnel, because they all deserve it so much after everything they have suffered. I can only hope that along the way to salvation their Vengeance is so, so brutally sweet.

So basically, this book picks up where book one left off. Lennon is brought to a “psychiatric” hospital but as we find out she was put there because of a psycho that you’ll find out at the end of book one who the psycho is. I also do not like derricks father I hope he gets his in the final book and that stupid doctor Xzavier needs to be hung up and taken care of by our favorite Crazy.
Roark an Turner are trying their best to not fall apart without Len but as you get further in the book you see that they both are keeping things to themselves in order not to burden the other.
Something big happens with Ror that finally makes them both see they need to be open with each other. I do like the fact that mama Rodriguez is in this book an basically is the glue in this part in my opinion.
There are crossover characters from the Living Words duet but you absolutely don’t have to read that in order to read these books. An you definitely won’t get lost as there are parts that explain everything in this book regarding the characters from the duet.
Orion Is a big newcomer that I’m hoping will stay he is the crazy we all never knew we needed you definitely will love him in this book. An I’m hoping he an Derek have more of a relationship with the others in the next book you’ll understand more when you read it.
The Band manager also needs to be hung up. Such a jealous person that one was an you get a bomb in this book about her well in my opinion it was. Also can we just put all the bad guys in one room there’s a lot in this book.
The cliffhanger at the end is going to make you wanna toss your kindle/phone so be extra careful when you’re reading that part. There are one liners in this book as well I laughed an had a smile on my face at times.
As always please check your TW there are a lot an I mean a lot in this book. It’s extremely dark at times an may not be suitable for certain people so check those trigger warnings before reading. Or message the author an ask if you’re not sure.
Oh wow, I've sat on this review since I finished the book and I had very few words. And it went like this "...Jenn you broke my heart..."
Because damn does Jenn know how to beat up your heart really well with little reprieve in book 2. Let's get it started, everyone in this book is having an incredibly hard time, people are fighting their demons in whatever way they can. It feels like the darkness is swallowing them all whole and they won't find their way out. Lennon's mom and anyone that is in her "circle" is horrible and I just want to scream.
Jenn really knows how to get into the dark and real world, they truly hit rock bottom. And be mindful of the TW/CW that she has in this book because it is darker than the first. Even though some things are... put back together in a "sense" not everything is back to normal, as you can imagine. I am intrigued by Orion, I didn't see his entire character coming and I can only imagine what comes next with him. I mean honestly for all of them it's been a flipping roller coaster, Roark, Turner, Derek, and our poor girl Lennon. She is so damn strong, but everyone has their struggles.
I know that Jenn won't make book 3 without struggles but I am looking forward to their HEA. The continued redemption and all of the vengeance that is coming. Make sure that when you do read this have a comfort read that will bring some joy in your life.
Jenn btw my heart is still broken, and I'm side-eyeing you V hard. But Love you!
Jenn Bullard continues the Darkest Nights Series with book two The Sweetest Notes. If you aren’t used to dark romance themes and you want to continue the story (which I for sure think you should), then clench your pearls and hold on to your purse strings because this is going to be one wild ride.
💜 smart, sassy, strong FMC 💜 found family 💜 fake mental health hospital 💜 So many mysteries 💜 🌶🌶 spice
This book picks right up where we left off in book one’s crazy cliffhanger. Lennon wakes up feeling so drained and confused as to what is happening. She has no idea where she is but the room she’s in is white and she can’t move her arms. Derek wakes up to something wet licking his ankle and has to reorient himself and fend off what looks to be a coyote. Roark is panicked when he can’t find Lennon and no one has answers for him. Can they all get reconnected? Can they save Lennon? Will they survive in their relationship when this is over?
This book is so so good. There are quite a few hard and dark things that Al of the characters go through, so you will to as a reader. But, it’s so very much worth it.
We meet new characters and reconnect with some characters from the same world in Unwritten Truths also written by Jenn Bullard. This does end on a cliffhanger as we’ve come to expect from Jenn. So while you’re waiting on the next book, pick up the Unwritten Truths duet for some more fun.
Well this series took a turn I wasn’t expecting. I was expecting it all to be about the music and touring and the rockstar lifestyle but somehow this turned into some weird crazy ride about government secrets and lies of politicians and I’m kind of here for it. I’m annoyed that we didn’t have ANY music/touring in this book but because of what happens in this book I understand it.
I feel like we had POV’s of everyone but we were definitely missing some key people like either Atlas, Mav or Layla. We haven’t heard anything about them except a brief passing of Laylas name towards the end. We also got some snippets of some of the bad characters in this book which was strange but kind of nice too so we can kind of see their angle. I’m not sure how I feel about adding another person to the Harem but Orion is weird and doesn’t really seem to fit and honestly I can’t see Turner and Roark wanting him around Lennon when he is so unstable but by seeing his POV it’s weird how I’m growing attached to him.
I feel like it should be strongly advised to read the other series first as clearly their friends are the ones from the first book. It says they are just ‘cameo’ or ‘brief appearance’ characters but Greg actually plays a vital role in this one so I’m kind of annoyed. Yes you get a bit of background into their lives but not much.
The books moved into a weird place away from music so I’m hoping in the last one Lennon gets back to music and is happy.
O.M.G this book was such a rollercoaster of intense emotions! Lennon well and truly goes through hell in this book, there were so many lows in this book, but despite this she really showed what an incredible fighter she is deep down.
After the cliffhanger of the last book we get some more answers about what is going on with Derek's father and the elusive Mr Xav. Spoiler Alert : It's really not good!
Orion was a delightful addition in this book, and after the little snippets we got of him in the last book I was definitely intrigued. Orion has become one of my favourite characters in this series. He's so quirky and I loved his personality. The sexual tension between him and Derek was perfection.
This book wasn't an easy read at times, especially when we see what Lennon is being subjected to, but I look forward to karma coming back to haunt some of her tormentors.
I loved the appearance of Tori, Greg, Link and Miguel in this book as well as Tesa, Griffin and Mama Rodriguez. The character crossover was really well done and makes me excited for the next book with more appearances.
Jenn Bullard has successfully written another amazing dark reverse harem romance and I am eagerly awaiting the final installment in this trilogy after that nail-biting cliffhanger.
Please note the plethora of trigger warnings before reading this book as there is plenty that could be a hard limit for certain readers.
This book picks up right where the first left off. And let me tell you it is AMAZING!
You will go through an emotional rollercoaster reading this book! This book is significant darker then the first, and it covers some dark areas so be sure to check the trigger warning before reading.
But this book isn’t all dark, there are scenes they will make you laugh. And definitely some aww moments.
Definitely recommend reading!

I was blessed with this heartbreaking ARC for The Sweetest Note by Jenn Bullard! This is the 2nd book in the Darkest Nights trilogy. This baby releases on 4/17. So let’s talk about it. 😉

This book picked up right where the first one left off, THANK GOD for that! 🥲 However that does not make this book any less heartbreaking. Lennon is put through the wringer, and she has made it into my strongest FMC’s list. I cried. I cringed. I was stressed. I cursed this book more than once. The emotional turmoil in here is real, but all necessary for the story. If you’re looking for something spicy, please look elsewhere lol. This book was fantastic, dark, and soul crushing in all the best ways. Jenn put some serious thought into this plot and I loved it! I loved meeting some of the side characters and my fave was Orion! Please check TW’s on this as there are some rough ones.
OMG, what an amazing yet terrifyingly sad, dark, and emotional rollercoaster of a story. Read the trigger warnings as this is darker than the first. The compulsion to keep reading this book was strong yet I had to set it aside so I could process. Did I really read that? Just how dark can this go? Yet there is sweetness and some giggles to soothe the reader. And it allowed me to get more Kleenex and ice cream. (Jenn will understand that.) Jenn is a great storyteller and is not afraid to take her readers to sweet highs and dark lows in her tale. A fast paced story that I didn't want to end yet I needed it to end, so much sooner. Lennon is kidnapped by two crazies. Crazy is too soft a word for them. She's thrown into a madhouse that is not known on paper, but is run off the books and staff is allowed to experiment and abuse Lennon however they want. She's never getting out. And she's been told Roark and Turner put her in there. So much mental, emotional and physical abuse but this shows the reader just how strong our girl Lennon is. Her men are going crazy trying to find her. And they are all battling their inner demons. And we get Orion back. Be advised: there is a cliffhanger, review the Triggers and read book 1 first.
Having chewed my fingernails to the end waiting for this book after The Darkest Chord, this was EVERYTHING!! My head was everywhere when I got to the end of this book at 2 in the morning. I couldn’t put it down until I was done and then I lay in bed wondering how its all going to play out in the next book.
Lennon has been carted off along with Derek at the end of the first book, she’s unsure of who she’s seen and where the hell she’s landed….probably hell to be honest. She’s told Roark and Turner have their hand in all this but as he mind is a jumble of thoughts and what she’s being told, she’s not sure. She’s wondering if this what life has become, has she become like her mum? And Derek is being summoned again home to his father. What does he have for Derek this time? Where is this all leading to? Well, I’m not going to tell as this rollercoaster of emotions I’ve felt while reading this book. Oh and Orion? I think he’s going to be a great addition to the story. Just you wait and see. Jenn, you are a genius. This series up to now has been amazing up to now. These books need to be read in order as you’ll have no idea what all the craziness is about otherwise.
I have once again been emotionally wrecked by Jen Bullard. Am I surprised? No. Am I currently stuffing my face with chocolate trying to come to terms with what I just read? Yes, yes, I am. I need to find some cake too because this book has just devastated me.
Picking up where we left off, Lennon has been taken and is now in the hands of a madman. He's hellbent on breaking her down physically and mentally by any means necessary. Derek must once again return home this time under the control of his father. Turner and Roark are left trying to keep it together and bring reinforcements in the search for Lennon.
Let me tell you right now read the triggers. There is SA in this story, and Lennon goes through some horrible things. Those last chapters are a complete punch to the gut. There are several characters I really want karma to take a bite out of because of how awful they are. I can definitely see the next book giving us the answers regarding Lennon's mom and how she got mixed into this. The next book will no doubt have a lot of healing going into it for all the characters involved.
After a harrowing cliffhanger in The Darkest Chord, The Sweetest Note picks up where it left off. Be prepared for a dark, dark turn in this book. You'll be on the edge of your seat, including witnessing the horrific treatment Lennon tries to survive. Derek returns to his hometown under his father's orders, and we see just how far he will go to find Lennon & rescue her. Seeing Turner & Roark struggle from spiraling downward (especially Roark) while trying to find Lennon & keeping the press from realizing something is truly wrong is heartbreaking. One silver lining (if you can call it that) is the introduction of the new character Orion, Derek's old classmate. So many surprises pop up with this character, for us & Derek. Let's just say Orion is a loveable psycopath. I love him & I want to keep him, and I think you will too. My heartbreaks for everything that happens, and I did not see all the twists & turns coming, except for realizing this would be another heart wrenching cliffhanger. Thank goodness book 3, and the finale, come out next month.
O.M.G….so much drama, angst, secrets, revelations, feelings, twists, turns, things going sideways, betrayal, emotional blackmail, heartrending conflict, and I can’t wait for more!! The Sweetest Note touched on so many emotions on so many levels. Some parts are so scary to think about (not talking about ghosts and monsters kind of scary). I truly hope that Lennox gets rescued and all the emotional damage that was done an be fixed!! I want to say so much more about what happened in the Sweetest Note but don’t want to spoil it for any other readers. Just know that if you have triggers please read and heed the warnings. Jenn Bullard has become one of my favorite authors and The Sweetest Note is a good example of why. It has all of my favorite elements that are listed above and the fact that I had such an emotional reaction not to mention how engrossed I was that I didn’t want to stop reading and wanted so much more. I absolutely can’t wait for The Lost Melody!! I for one plan on checking out Unwritten Truths Duet while waiting for the Lost Melody to be released. Happy reading!!
First and foremost....READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! They are there for a reason!!
Honestly, I'm at a loss for words. There is so much to unpack here. I'm considering sending the author Jenn Bullard my therapy bill. Her mind is a scary scary place and the cliffhanger left me with such a book hangover that I couldn't even function when I was done.
I did love that I got some scenes with my favorite gal Tesa and her mama (Unwritten Truths Duet). My favorite line... “Do you know my hellions? Or Tesa’s youngest? They run shit, we are merely their snack bitches.”
Orion was a special kind of crazy and I am 100% here for it. I can't wait to see what happens with the addition of his character to their dynamic.
Lennon has been through so much in this book. She is so strong...I don't know many people that would survive what she did and handle it the way she has. That ending :bites knuckles: I can't wait to see what happens next.
This book is an absolute emotional roller-coaster from deep and depraved to light and funny and kept me up half the night because I wanted to continue reading!
The second book from The Darkest Nights Series starts of right were the first one stopped and dives right in without any kids gloves on - there are quite a few scenes that might be triggering and they get very dark, so please beware of that and check the list.
But, it's not all dark. Some scenes actually made me laugh almost and some aww moments were to be found as well.
As usual, for Jenn, the book ends in a major cliffhanger that makes you want to search for an epilog or something.. Or just anything.. :'( :D At least we don't have to wait too long for the next one, because that would just be too mean 😀
I received this book for an honest review and will leave you with one more sentence: I never really liked pineapples anyway!
Oh my heart! This book ripped my heart right open, and it slowly starts getting put back together, to get it ripped right back out; this book wrecked me!
Lennon gets taken and we slowly start to see how manipulative and truly crazy her mother really is. Lennon goes through so much trauma in this book, it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Roark, Turner, Derek, and her sister are doing everything they can to try to find her while also trying to hold it together. It was truly heartbreaking to see everything unfold, but they still stick together and hold onto hope. We get to see a newer face, Orion, and he his a psychotic hottie, and I can't wait to see how he fits into this group.
Throughout all of these struggles, I am rooting for their well deserved and hard worked happily ever after. That cliffhanger was brutal, but I am holding on to everything I have to light at the end of the tunnel.
OMG my heart broken with this book, I thought I had prepared myself but no I wasn't ready as Jenn is the queen of giving us those damm cliffhangers. This book picks up right where the last one ended with Lennon getting put into a psychiatric hospital where the evil Dr. Z gets free reigh to conduct his evil experiments with help from an evil nurse and others to torment Lennon to the breaking point. While Lennon is literally going through he'll her guys are doing the same trying to get her back to them and also Derek putting on the performance of a lifetime with Orion by his side who I actually love. This book is just another great one in all the books Jenn has written and I can't wait till the next one to see how Lennon and her men will make everyone that hurt and betrayed them pay!! The cameo from the Unwritten Truth series was amazing. Oh and I now have a very love but mostly haye relationship with the word Pineapple 🍍
This books was a rollercoaster. It picks up right where Darkest Chord left off. It gets really dark so please please check your triggers. There was about half a chapter I had to skim.
We get more information about the overall story. We also get to see the characters from Living Words. I’m embarrassed that I didn’t make the connection with Turner from that series. I did have a few moments where it felt like I was missing something from their story which pulled me out of this one.
We get to meet some new people now that our characters are all separated, and I have a new favorite. I think the cliffhanger was unnecessary, but I also think I heard it won’t be too terribly long until the next book comes out.
All in all, this was mostly very dark and upsetting. Everyone is fighting different battles on their own, and they all just want to be a together again. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Oh my gosh. This book did me in!! I was wrapped up in Lennon being held captive by an evil man that wanted to make her his foot soldier. Being brutally tortured, Lennon tried hard not to break to his will, but was finding it more difficult as each day passed. Whilst she was being held, her boys, Roark, Turner and Derek, try to find her. This book has all the feels and I just wanted to get in and help with the rescue..it was that intense!! Lennon is groomed to be sold for a lot of money to help raise funds for Derek's father political campaign. How do Roark and Turner cope without their Valkryie/Lavender? Once they find where Lennon is being held captive, they plan a rescue. Do they find her in time? What happens when Lennon actually escapes her prison and makes a run for it. You will enjoy this book, but not the cliff hanger so much. A definite 5 star worthy read that leaves you hanging!!
Brutal. That's what The Sweetest Note is. Brutal. But SO. DANG. GOOD. The story continues after the cliffhanger at the end of the previous book. You'll fall more in love with Roark and Turner, we get more Derek and see his character growth, which is amazing to see, and we meet a new character. I won't tell you who this new character is, but you'll love this person.
This book gets pretty.. rough. A lot of what Lennon goes through is soul-destroying, and the rest of the gang doesn't fair much better. There are moments of humor, and of course, super steamy times, but prepare for your heart to break. Jenn completely destroyed me with this one, but knowing her, she will fix me by the end of it all! And in true Jenn fashion, this baby ends on an epic cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book 3!!
OMG!! That Cliffhanger! Seriously Jenn why are you so good at cliffhanger torture!! It kills me.. But I do love it. If you haven’t read Jenn’s work before this is the norm. As you should have gotten a taste of in the first book… you haven’t read the first book yet? STOP! Do not read another word and go get it first. You will need it to fully get immersed in this work and become utterly attached to these characters. Becoming attached and wanting to protect these characters happens plenty in this emotional roller coaster of deep, raw, spicy and dark story happening here. However, specifically we see character development/ change happen within this book. This book made me avoid adulting to just be in its world. If you have triggers be sure to check the trigger list that is listed for this book. Seriously can’t wait for book 3, to see these characters get their HEA!
This was an epic emotional roller coater ride of mass proportions. I though Jenn had devious mind after reading The Darkest Cord but this 100% takes the cake. This picks up after the gut wrenching cliffy in The Darkest cord. Lennon has been through so much trauma at the hands or her horrible mother but finds that things can always get worse. Committed against her will to an alleged treatment center for the rich consists of mental and emotional trauma committed by a mad man trying to play god. Lennon tries to stay strong hoping that her guys have not left her to her fate. Meanwhile her guys are out of their mind with worry and trying to push though their own special brand of trauma.
This is a 10/10 must read series that I 100% recommend. Please make sure you check the triggers before reading this book. The series must be read in order.
The Sweetest Note is book #2 in the Darkest Nights series. This is a dark why choose romance. Make sure to check the trigger warning.
I am now officially in love with Orion!
This book you guys!! We pick up where we left off in The Darkest Chord and Jenn takes us on an emotional ride that's for sure!!!
Lennon goes thru so much and I just want to hug her and tell her everything will be okay, her guys Roark and Turner never give up on getting her back, Derek goes behind enemy lines and even gets more help from another guy that just wants the best for Lennon. You will cry, you will laugh and you will cry somore, but it's totally worth it! I loved all the cameos of other characters of Jenn's too!!!
I am so in love with this world and I can't wait for book 3!!!
This is the second book in the Darkest Nights series. It picks up right around where book one left off.
Book two is darker and more intense than book one. It broke my heart on several occasions 💔 Our protagonists are separated for a while and we bounce around between POVs to see what everyone is up to. All of them are struggling with what’s happening, but the changing POVs makes it easier to handle the darker parts in smaller doses.
There are quite a few twists and turns in this one! It’s a bit less spicy, which makes sense since most of the love interests are in different places and the circumstances are complicated. We do get to meet new players, both friend and foe. This book brings in one of my favorite romance tropes - the “Devoted Psycho”! This does end on a cliffhanger but the next book will be out soon.
Jenn Bullard will now officially be footing the payments of my Costco size surplus of tissues and chocolate peanut butter pie. And if I can't get pie, I will also accept chocolate/PB ice cream. Or cookies and cream. or both. Or gummy bears. Because how dare you Jenn? How dare you.
Just so you are aware, Jenn Bullard is an evil mastermind who forced me to eat chocolate peanut butter pie at 9 am and why I am questioning my life existence. Why you ask? Why? Because of this book right there. This very book that you are reading this review about. Because it's so freaking good, it's also dark if you have a heart and have triggers, you might want to be mindful because the bad guys in this book are very bad. They're not the kind of bad guys with psychopathic tendencies and a penchant for blood. **cough...ahem Orion...cough** They're the kind who are corrupt, heartless, and will do very bad things to very good people. I am so anxious for book 3. Because my heart hurts and I need happiness now.
