With murder, mayhem, and hot sex, Kitty-Kitty, Bang-Bang is a wickedly delicious sequel to The Kat Trap.
It was her cutthroat ambition and ruthlessness that got Katrina—or Kat for short—out of the hood and on top of her game. Once a murderer on a seductive prowl with two missions in mind—satisfying her insatiable libido and killing unsuspecting marks—Katrina has finally lain down her guns. She has had a change of heart.
She settles for a simpler life with traveling, partying, and shopping as her only guilty pleasures. In addition, she’s avoiding relationships and men like the plague. For her, life couldn’t be any sweeter—at least that’s what she wants to believe.
But, when drama rears its ugly head, Katrina returns with a vengeance. There’s the issue of confronting her ex-friend who she learned had slept with an old boyfriend. Then there are her three aunts—who are angry with how she treated her mother. And now she has to face her family, her demons, and the woman behind them. Ultimately Kat has a new mission: Find the man behind her mother’s death and seek justice the only way she knows how—with a bullet to his head.
Really good sequel to The Kat Trap, which I should've expected. Again, a book that isn't for everyone, but if you're daring and uninhibited give it a shot. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
When I found this book I forgot all about reading The Kat Trap, and how much that one was a banger. In the middle or reading this, it was difficult for me to get past the language. I learned so many new synonyms for semen, haha. It kind of made me cringe how Kat and Chanel come at each other with bitch, hoe, etc...I personally don't refer to my friends or myself as bitches but whatever. Anyways, Sometimes I wished that Kat just needed to sit down and talk to her grandmother and her aunts to express how much she was in pain for how her mom treated her; however, Kat wouldn't be ruthless ass Kat is she let herself become vulnerable. Besides, her family seemed too close minded anyway. What frustrated me the most was her and Alex. I almost found myself screaming at the book like OMG Kat give this sexy chocolate ass man a chance. She really feared that she might turn out like her moms but girllll she had too many bodies on her belt to ever be like Juanita. Overall it was a decent book I found it being too slow at certain times and wished she did a couple of more killings, but hey it was time for a change and now she's living happily ever after.
Katrina can be ruthless, raw and grimy. Underneath that tough exterior, she does have a heart. After her last job, she drops off the scene to get her mind together. She receives a phone call beckoning her to come home and see about her mom who's in the hospital with a grim outlook. Katrina doesn't deal with her family. Going home would mean having to deal with some past demons. Will she go home? If so, what will become of that return?
Despite being a sequel, I didn't have any difficulty following the story. Cairo does well taking you back far enough to reintroduce you to the characters. Since I didn't read the first one, it gave me a chance to see where the characters came from and how they became who they are in this book. The storyline was drawn out from time to time but flowed well. At times, the sex was a little over the top. I was able to accept it because that was part of who Katrina was. If you want to experience a roller coaster ride of sex, mayhem and pure rawness, this is the book for you.
Wow, this book had me cracking up. Kat is funny as hell, and still tells it like it is, in this sequel to The Kat Trap. I received this ARC awhile back from Strebor Books and had to read the first one before starting this.
This series is GOOD! It has quality writing and editing, which is sometimes hard to come by, and the storyline is very entertaining. Kat's character is a trip and she is so much more likeable with the positive changes she's made with her life. She's still bad as ever though, and the action never stops throughout the whole book! So, Alex is from a previous book, Daddy Long Stoke, which I haven't read yet, and I will be to get his story previous to this one. Cairo is a great author, so if you are a fan of urban fiction or erotica, make sure to get your copy!
This book is awesome, although cat is very cruel to her family. I believe that her childhood relationship and watching her mother go through various different men's, have her afraid and selfish. She finds out that her mother is on life support and pregnant and don't even bother to care. She shows much hatred toward her mother in many ways. Kat visits the hospital and wants to pull the pull but the are some altercations with her and her aunt's. She tells her friend Chanel about it and Chanel tells kat that she is all for her self and this isn't about her this is about the life of the baby. so after that she decides to wait until the baby is ok to survived in the real world to pull the plug. Theirs a whole lot to this story you will have to read it yourself but, just in case you want to know how everything started you should read The Kat Trap first. Overall this is a great book.
This character is just plain wicked with enough badness to inspire a lil mischief in you. Couldn't wait to read this after the first one and it did not disappoint. I liked that it picked up right where the last one left off and took you for a real ride on the naughty side. This inspired much badness from me and had my lover hollering "Bad Kitty" more than often. Well written and seriously bad ass, Cairo does it again with this one.
I would have prefered if she didn't settle down completely. I would have loved if she whacked him in the end like a true assassin. Maybe next time (hint).
First I have to say I am surprised this was on the main fiction table at the library. Now to the book. The lingo is a little tough to get into. Kind of like shakespeare from da hood. Once I got the gist the story is nasty, violent and at times almost snuff porn (which the earlier books in this series may well have been). Her redemption, saving and then taking a baby, comes with the help of her best and only friend. I will not be seeking out more by this author.
This is a must read book..Cairo has done it again..This is the sequel to The Kat Trap..Kat ain't playing in this one..It has a mixture of Daddy Long Stroke in it..If you havnt read that then you want understand Alley Cat(Alex).I just love how Alex has grown up to be a man...I love how Cairo has brought them two together..They make a good couple.I was in the Awwee in the ending.. Sweet Ending
She's baaaaacckkk! Kat bust back on the scenes to let people know what she's been doing since her retirement. She's still "That Bytch" and Cairo made her riveting story even better. The drama and excitement will keep you glued to this book and raunchy humor will have you chuckling. Once again Cairo delivered the heat.
Katrina, Kitty-Kitty, is the BADDEST chick in this book. She do everything like she was the boss. She runs everything. Why didn't she want to give the man a chance? It all goes back to her mother, to what she had done to her when she was little. Let the past go and everything will be okay. Why doesn't she want a little sister? That is the question.
The book was intoxicating. From beginning to end i never want to put this book down. Kat was definitely not to be played with Its just crazy how things happen that you least expect. Definitely was a good read and would recommend for the world to read.
Cairo did it again..this sequel is fire!! Absolutely loved it. A page turner for real add this one to the list folks if you pay attention in any of his books they all tie into each other. Very good read you won't be disappointed!
Katrina in this book is something else! I hope he writes another book with these characters. I like Cairo's writing style and I will definitely read more of his books.
