An interesting idea of having sporadic thoughts from the Instagram pages of artists, writers and thinkers. There's some poetic and humorous moments in it, even if the concept is a little light and you can flick through the book in under half an hour.
My favorite art pieces: - Roz Chast's in-unit washer dryer - Glenn Baxter's "Piazza della 'Libertà'"/"Area video sorvegliata" - William Dalrymple's "Everything you need to know about the Raj in one page from an 1890s anthology of useful Hindustani phrases."
"the cook is drunk again the Sahib is in a bad temper to-day. the soup has no taste, it is insipid. my expenditure is double my income. if you value your life [as of course you do], then listen to me the bullet passed just over my head (all the way). I will have you caned. whence did you obtain this dog-like unclean animal ? this is the same cat that was here yesterday. why did you allow the goat to come into the house ? this turban does not suit you."
- Jon Ronson's note from housekeeping "Hello! Hope your enjoying your stay. Please let us know if you need anything! 'Enjoy the day, like it's your last' - Unknown X Randi G Housekeeping"
Underwhelming. Love a good photograph and “seeing things” on camera. Unfortunately, not much of either. There were a few nice shots from Neil Gaiman and David Byrne though…
