Something is missing

Axel is a hockey captain and Maya is a nerdy bartender. The book starts of with Maya talking out how she lost her position in her father's company. Thing is though there is no mention why the father really did it or why they don't speak. So you left guessing.

Safety and Spoilers

The H is an arrogant jerk through most of the story. He says that’s not who he really is but we really aren’t shown him any other way. I wish he grovelled more before they declared their love.
No ow/om drama. H is a bit of a player and h is a virgin.
I don’t know how much the author knows about the NHL but these players behaviour on and off the ice would never be allowed. Teams have pretty strict rules about how players can conduct themselves. Fighting in the halls after a game would result in heavy suspensions and fines. Fighting in bars would also result in inquiries, suspensions and fines.
I think the author may be British or something similar. We use the term practice not training and shopping cart, cart not trolly.

After some problems with her family Maya moves away where they can't find her. She starts working as a bartender and learns about the Falcons hockey team. Axel is one of the bad boys on the team and when she sees his picture, she is attracted to him. Her friend has free tickets and takes her to a game. After the game she meets Axle but gives him the wrong name and leaves. Axle knows she is the one he wants, and he tracks her down to where she works. Will she take a chance on him? Can they find a way to be together?

This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I feel like I missed a chapter in this book. I liked Axel and loved the bad boy hockey player aspect of this. Maya was great, really strong and a good heroine. But there was no explanation of why Maya's father did what he did and that didn't make sense to me. I would have liked to have seen some more friendship relationships for Maya and some more getting to know each other before she has such a drastic turn around on her attitude and opinion of Axel. Just another chapter filling in some blanks would have made this better.

Maya is a bartender that kind of hides from her high profile family. Axel is the captain of the ice hockey team Falcons and they are all bad boys. Rough, loud and kind of out of control. But as soon as Axel meets Maya things change for him and he wants to settle down and change his ways. Maya is hesitant if the bad boy is sincere, but nothing and nobody can stop him from getting his woman🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet, steamy, romantic ,fun to read and safe with a sweet HEA at the end 😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next Bad Boy to fall head over heels for his woman🥰🥰

This was a fun series starter that brought together a sassy Maya and hockey bad boy Axel. His usual tricks did not work on Maya so he had to pull all the stops to show her his real self. She didn't want a player but couldn't deny their chemistry. I love that we got dual POVs to help us clearly see where both of their minds were. I'm looking forward to diving into the next Falls Creek Falcons book ;D

Fall in love with Axel the hot, dreamy, bad boy hockey player and Maya the soren off that kind of man, nerdy, Curvy, bartender. He's spotted her and just knows she will be his forever. She can't stand the I'm privileged type of guy he thinks he is and says she will never fall for him. And then after everything, the HEA.

Axel, the hockey team’s captain, is a bad boy type used to trouble. He meets Maya, a bartender wanting to avoid that bad boy type, trying to start over. But Axel has decided Maya is the one for him. Can he show her that he is not what she assumed? Will she give him a chance to prove himself?

Axel (H) is a rough and tough hockey team captain who seems to attract trouble. Maya (h) is the curvy bartender who's trying to start her life anew and isn’t sure that she wants to be involved in Axel's chaos. Axel is convinces Maya is the one and just has to convince her that he's more than what he appears on the surface. Lovely curvy girl romantic hockey quickie!

This wasn’t even instalove, this was more like confusing lust for love.

The first time he sees her he claims he’s going to marry her. Other than finding him incredibly good looking, the first several times he’s nothing but a cocky, trouble making AH and yet she says she’s falling in love? BS.

I couldn’t finish it. Even with how short it was, I’m not wasting any more time on this book.

A sweet, short romantic story. She wasn't sure about him, with what was written about him. Once she gave him a chance and realized he was a good guy, her defenses fell. They eventually got their HEA.

So happy we’re back in Falls Creek! And I’m excited for hockey players again! My jaw literally dropped when I found out what happened to Maya at her dads company.. it’s no wonder she wants to avoid men. You can feel the intensity of it all as you’re reading when Axel walks out onto the ice and talks about the crowd and them winning the game. I love that he automatically is knocked off his feet by Maya. And all of his inner thoughts about her? Swoon worthy! The way C.H. James writes insta love pulls at all of my heart strings and this enemies to lovers story is no different! Full of banter and tension you won’t wanna miss out on!
