Honeybee is very busy gathering nectar from the flowers to make into honey. She buzzes past some ducks, a friendly frog, a squirrel and a rabbit who all invite her to take a rest, but she's far too busy to stop! Little ones will love following the winding word path and sliding Honeybee through the slot in each picture as she whizzes through the garden!
This book, and its companion Ladybug on the Move, are unlike any book I’ve ever read. The honeybee travels around and THROUGH the pages. My wee one can’t read it enough times, nor could my second and third grade students. They all love the interactivity. It’s a great way to learn animal and bug names. Unfortunately both books are out of print, so if you find one, grab it.
An engaging and interactive story which allows children to thread a bee through the pages and travel across the story together! Beautiful, bright pictures which grab your attention and a clever layout of text which flows and undulates across the pages- much in the same way bees fly around in real life. The storyline is simple and would suit young children who would learn a great deal about the outdoors from this one story.
Perfect little book with a cardboard honey bee to push through the pages from one garden site to another meeting other animals along the way until she at last reaches her home. Fun for children and adults.
we love this book! the kids have enjoyed pushing the bee through the slots on the pages, and it's fun that the words curve all over like the way a bee would fly. a word to the wise, laminate the bee!
