The Cipher Of Genesis: The Original Code of The Qabala as Applied to the Scriptures

Rate this book
The revolutionary meanings presented here will be of great significance to Christians, Hebrews, and Moslems, for this book breaks the code of secrecy and shows how each letter of the Hebrew alphabet corresponds to a specific number, the significance of which must be considered in order to understand the forces at play in the Universe.

Carlo Giuseppe Suarès (1892–1976) was a French writer, painter and Kabbalah author. He was born the 12 May 1892 in Alexandria, Egypt of a very old Sephardi family that arrived in Spain probably with the Arab conquest. The ancestors of his Sephardi Jewish family had been expelled from Spain in 1492 during the Inquisition and found refuge in Tuscany, Italy before emigrating to and settling in Egypt in the 18th century. Expelled from Egypt and dispossessed, he settled in Paris and became a French Citizen. He had a diploma in architecture from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, and he painted a great deal, having "in true Kabbalistic spirit" sought to discover - and found - a synthesis of light. He died in Paris the 16 July 1976.

Carlo Suares is a master Qabalist who manages to pass on the Qabalah through his unique perspective of its ancient language. This is a difficult book to read but well worth the effort.

This profound book drew me into the revelation and freed me of religious shackles.

Whether the style is helping the reader to absorb the material or not, the material is profound and definitely worth a try. The mind-blowing revelation of a deeper reality locked into the Hebrew Alphabet has motivated me to write a book on this subject myself, titled: "The End of Religion, The Beginning of Self. Using the Hebrew Alphabet as Secret Wisdom Key".

Once the basic building blocks of reality have been activated within you, the unfolding revelation becomes all-encompassing and ever-expanding, allowing you to touch base with your deeper Self. You will also be able to locate contradictory beliefs, bridge extremes, and unify your inner and outer world. Enlightening!

I would categorize this as an intermediate book on Kabbalah. Though I have a beginner's knowledge, I struggled to understand some parts. I think perhaps part of my struggle was not doing the gematria along with the book; I wasn't in a mood for adding and looking things up. It's fair enough, though, for the author to ask it of the reader, in my opinion.

The part I didn't like, though, was the constant "and it should be obvious to the reader so I won't elaborate," when it was not actually obvious to this reader. Part of it is the subject matter, since this book isn't written for the layperson in 2021. There were also parts of Genesis that the author completely skipped over because they would be too complex to explain, I think?

I mean, this isn't a bad book, I learned a lot, and the author obviously has an ocean of knowledge. But putting that knowledge into book form is a skill, and I wonder if perhaps that's what this book was lacking: an understanding of how to convey things in a concise, straightforward manner.

read this years ago, and just re-read it. It's quite an interesting read.

Although I only got to read the first couple of chapters about twelve-14 years ago, I will state that what I read there about interpreting the Qabala in the framework of thermodynamics made so much sense to me and has been integrated into my work and understanding of reality since. I hiughly recommend reading what I've read to people who are seriously attempting to understand the very framework of reality.
