A great book with all kinds of hints. I read this back in 2005, so this was like my "pinterest" then.

This a great book for finding simple answers to your tough cleaning (and other household) questions. You know, if you need to get shit out of a carpet you can find out how here. The author has many other books out there, but this is the only one needed as there is great overlap with the others. Also should make hippies happy with its many natural solutions to household problems.

My mom gave me this book for Christmas. It tells how to do everything from clean up blood stains to tricks for installing things. It's very useful and insanely creative. Who knew you could use salt for so many things.

We use this book all the time for random questions...like, how do you get spilled wax out of the carpet? (Answer: paper towel or rag and an iron)

this is a book about urban legends. some of his "hints" go something like this: "it will probably work if you soak it in vinegar, that's what we hear."

A reasonable book to browse or have lying around the coffee table. I have no plans to read it cover-to-cover at the moment. Ok ideas, but not as frugal as I would hope.
