This book will give you tools to find out what point you are at now, understand where it is you want to get and develop strategies and powerful methods to get you there. As quickly as possible and as economically as possible with as much fun as possible. The book uses many clear examples and stories to show you how to overcome barriers that hold you back. You'll learn how to develop a clear vision for a brilliant future and communicate with your friends, family and colleagues at a higher level.
This book felt comfortingly British to me which made the self improvement process more attractive. His tools for self reflection are simple but cleverly visual. I liked his suggestions for reframing common spoken phrases to be affirmative and powerful. Lots of robust advice which I WILL put into practice. (No 'trying' allowed).
Not a strong book for people who understand goals, process of acheiving dreams and already have an amibitious life. Not going to deny i like some parts of the book but in general it didnt effect me.
This is a simple easy to read self help book for the starters in personal development. Some of the concepts are not new to me but still gained good nuggets in each chapter along with brushing of these concepts.
Checklist given at the end of this book is useful and is the summary of the book too.
One major and easy implementation I did after I read the book is started saying “I am Brilliant” when someone asks “how r u ?” - it created a great difference!!
Other takeaways: - Being good is not enough, you need to be raise your standards to be brilliant in all aspects of life by stepping up - Whatever you read doesn’t matter, you need to take positive massive Action to grow
Finally a motivational self improvement book that wasn’t written by an American! I loved Michael Heppel’s honest, Norther, heartfelt style. He gives a plan for you to work on yourself over 90 days and tells you that action is the only way to succeed. He helps you identify values to guide you to a better life as well as how to overcome problems including by visualizing masterminds - asking famous people you admire what they would do. This book was written from the heart and offers genuine advice on how you can get the most out of your life.
While I don't often write posts on the various books I read, this was just too good of a book to leave without comment. "Brilliant" provides both the inspiration and the "how to" necessary to allow me to attempt two of my dreams. Here I go...
i stopped reading after many chapters for maybe over 4 months! i didnt find it interesting since i read like these books in the beginning of my changed life. this book is not for people who already ambetious and have massiv goals its like it will be a boring and one of the repetitive books. not gonna say the book is total bad, i found some great stuff not going to deny that.

Action oriented self help. Nothing really new but a good refresher read. Not sure it tells you how to be brilliant but it does tell you how to improve yourself. Useful checklist at back of book.
