Alfundo “Fun” London was born in Florence, Italy. His mother was a beautiful blonde tarantella dancer with an adventurous spirit. Much less is known of his father, a sailor who was lost in the stormy seas off the coast of Ithaca shortly after Fun was conceived. After spending his youth on the island of Corsica learning the language and ways of the French, he found his way to America where he now resides. He spent summers working for a carnival where he met many interesting people who fueled his imagination.
“I have always loved life, and I find each person I meet to be of great interest. I believe in the basic goodness in us all and in the joy of creating. I write to bring some of my joy to others. Remember, if you’re not having fun, you’re not doing it right.” Fun London
The Dog Prince https://authorfunlondon.com/the-dog-p..., my first read from author Fun London. A fun tale of a boy and his dog written in classic fairy tale style. An enjoyable read for any age. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
It's a sweet little fairytale story about a kingdom and a dog...although the titular dog is actually barely in it, which was a little odd. But a nice quick read all the same. I liked it.
Author Fun London returns again with another tale from days of old. This story takes place in the high mountains near China, in a small kingdom named Brink. The Brinkles were a gentle people, who were very productive for their community. The Festival of Loaves, held annually, is when bakers compete in a baking contest whereas the winner will reign as king for the year. Ammed, a baker's son, caused a big accident in the kitchen and was chased out the door by his father. Leaving his dog Paint at home, he decides to visit a girl, Celia, after he browses around the festivities. Ammed runs afoul of King Jamal from another kingdom who visits Brink. This king is not to be messed with. This is a tale that is historical in nature and I found it very enjoyable. Of coarse, I'm a canine fancier and there are many famous stories of a boy and his dog. This one is different, one that you'll enjoy reading to a child.
