About the author

Khenchen Namdrol Tsering (Tibetan མཁན་ཆེན་རྣམ་གྲོལ་ཚེ་རིང་, Wylie mkhan chen rnam grol tshe ring) is one of the three chief Khenpos (a title roughly equivalent to Professor Doctor of Divinity) at Namdroling Monastery, having been appointed there by the late Kyabjé Pema Norbu Rinpoche, from whom he received the degree and title of "khenpo" in 1983.

Khenchen Rinpoche is one of the principle disciples of H.H. Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok, and is regarded as one of the foremost living experts on the Guhyagarbha Tantra, among the most fundamental texts of the Nyingma School of Tibetan tantric Buddhism.
