"Shiny, Touchy, Smelly: First Words" is a great board book for very young children. This book is full of things to do - fabric pieces to feel, shiny pieces to see sparkle and spots to smell. Each page is a different category: clothes, toys, animals, etc. to keep the interest of young children. The book also features real photos of children, which young children love to look at.
This would be a good book to keep a young toddler interested for quite awhile as he goes from page to page.

At 20 months old, we are working on colors and this bright and colorful book is helping. Oliver can point out most of the items in the book like bananas, flowers and animals. The smells are all wonky. This book has been passed down a lot between the cousins and you can tell with the smells.

My toddlers love this book, it's shiny and scented with some nice textures as well. Helps keep their attention and they are learning new words.
