British justice demands that a person is innocent until proven guilty - and guilt most be proven beyond all reasonable doubt. No question mark should be permitted to hang over a conviction. The case of the UDR Four is a unique challenge to British injustice. Previously the challenge only came from the Republicans, and those who voiced discontent from within Unionism were considered traitors. The interesting paradox of this case has been that it has united, in an unsure relationship, two diverse strands of opinions in Northern Ireland.
