Naturalmente, non ho potuto resistere all'offerta.
I voti. Il nostro futuro. Tutto. Avrebbe divorziato subito dopo aver ottenuto il controllo dell'azienda di famiglia. A meno che... Non avesse scoperto che, nonostante fosse mio marito solo per finta, era davvero il padre di mio figlio.

Rating: 2/5 POV: 1st; Dual Tropes: Boss/Employee; Accidental Pregnancy; Marriage of Convenience; Sisters BFF; Heat Level: 5+/5 Kinks: N/A
Likes: * The premise of the plot. * The MMC's sister. I liked her attitude and what she brought to the story
Dislikes: * The writing * The MMC and FMC
Conclusion: Contemporary romance that is not written well. Writing is very immature with tons of sex scenes thrown in. The FMC would forgive a door knob if it would sleep with her. The MMC is a selfish ass. There are so many typos and grammatical errors. The author clearly did not shell out any money for an editor. I DNF'd the first book in this series. This one is barely 2 stars. I don't think this author is for me.
I will start this by saying that I overall enjoyed the characters in this story and the story itself. There were a few things that annoyed me though. (Possible spoilers) When Lucy and Ethan get married, Lane is the witness and Lucy explained why they were getting married and Lane told Lucy all about being a single mom and how she fell in love when she was 18 and got pregnant but the man was in the military and she didn’t know his last name or how to contact him. Then at 67% when Lane takes Lucy out to lunch, Lucy tells her that she is married to Ethan and Lane acts completely shocked as if she wasn’t a witness to the wedding and signed the marriage license for them. Then she proceeded to tell Lucy that she’s a single mom and Lucy says she didn’t know. WHAT!? This is the first book I’ve read from this author so I don’t know if this kind of mixup is something they do often or if this was a one time thing but did nobody in editing or arcs not catch this? Then at one point, Ethan mentions that Kate knew about the marriage but at the end Lucy acted surprised that she knew about it at all. And then the last thing that bothered me was there was an extended epilogue from someone else’s pov but no book is mentioned and it’s a cliffhanger. So why even put that into this book if you’re not going to either write the book or finish the story in the epilogue.
I may give the author another chance before completing writing them off but I hope there aren’t mistakes like this in other books.
This was another great story in the Fake Marriage series.
Its Ethan Wheatly heir to the Wheatly company and fortune and Lucy Andrews, graphic artist. Their story is fast paced and very erotic. It will go on my re read list!
Ajme Williams has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Lucy and Ethan. Ethan is having lunch with his sister Kate and he is trying to get her to come and work with him at MacLeod Capital Investments. She tells him that she likes her job but she knows that her friend Lucy needs a job. He tells her to come and see him and hands her his business card. When Lucy gets to the address, she tries to get a man to hold the elevator but he catches her eye just before the door closes. She calls him some name. When she gets to where she needs to be, the interview is with the same man. The interview doesn't go well and she leaves thinking she didn't get the job. Bridget comes into Ethan's office and sees the work that Lucy had done and told Ethan to hire her. Later that night, Lucy is on the phone with Kate and gets an email saying that she had the job. When Lucy goes in on her first day, she meets Bridget and is told that she would be working with her while she was in the office. Ethan is having problems with his grandfather over the family business. His grandfather is having Ethan and his cousin computer against each other over the business. Ethan is told that for the next project they are going to be working on, the client is more in favor of someone who is married. Lucy is in Ethan's office and he gives her a note that said "Just go with me on this, please?" Ethan tells his grandfather that he is engaged and introduced Lucy to him over the video call. Lucy is shocked to hear this. Ethan tells her after he gets off the phone that he has a deal for her and asked her to go to dinner that night with him so he could tell her. After Lucy hears what Ethan has to offer, she agrees to go along with him. She is to go with him to Cairo for two weeks and then come back home while he stayed there. The attraction they feel for each other is off the chart and they end up sleeping together but as soon as they are finished, Ethan gets up and tells her that it never should have happened and leaves. Ethan realized he messed up with the way he acted and now wonders if Lucy will still go along with his plan to get the family business. Before they leave for Cairo, they get married. Once in Cairo, things seem to be going well until Trent, Ethan's cousin shows up. Ethan had thought that the project was his. Things keep getting worse for Ethan and his grandfather. Lucy is doing everything she can to support Ethan and her feelings for him grow. They stop fighting their feelings for each other and start sleeping together while she is there in Cairo. Ethan does something special for Lucy as a thank you for helping him before she goes back home. She goes home knowing that when Ethan comes back, he will be giving her the divorce he told her would happen. She goes back to work but she can't seem to stop thinking about Ethan. She is not feeling good and she needs to talk to someone so she tells Lane what is going on. Lane thinks with what is going on that Lucy could be pregnant. Lucy gets a pregnancy test and it comes back positive. She calls out of work the next day and goes to the doctor. She is told that she is pregnant. Something happens on the project and Ethan, his grandfather, and Trent come back home. When he goes to see Lucy, she tells him about the baby. Things don't go well for her when she tells Ethan. He tells her "That wasn't in our agreement." She tells him that he doesn't have to be involved, she can take care of the baby by herself, and asked him to leave. Will Ethan choose his grandfather over Lucy and the baby? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Author needs an editor who understands continuity.
In the early part of book, Lane is witness to the "fake marriage" Tells Lucy how she is single mother, brief history of baby father.
At 66% Lane is gobsmacked to discover Lucy is married to Ethan. Also that Lucy knows she is single mother. Lucy acts like she never knew and Lane tells her story...again.
This is a big enough author mistake that the story loses a * from me.
No family is perfect, but some families are uniquely challenging, and sometimes, even toxic. Without the support of a loving family, it can be difficult for a child to move successfully from childhood into adulthood. Lucy Andrews never really had a “family.” Her single 17-year-old addicted mom had no one when she became pregnant with Lucy, so with mom’s uncontrolled addictions and no familial ties, it was not surprising that most of the young girl’s life until she aged out of state care, was as a child of the foster care system. And, at 18 and considered an “adult” with a high school diploma, Lucy was removed from the state foster care program to live independently, possessing only her clothes and a state-provided laptop.
So, with no money and no means of moving forward academically, artistically talented Lucy had a dream, but no way to attain it. But determined to become self-sufficient, she had shopped her artistic skills into work via the internet as a freelance graphic designer with some success—enough to pay for an apartment. But, when her addicted mom, who still floated in and out of her daughter’s world had stopped by to “catch up,” she stole Lucy’s laptop to pawn for drug money, taking Lucy’ ability to be independently employed.
So, without the laptop to use for her independently contracted design jobs, Lucy again started over working as a server at a local bar. But, her “bad luck” turned when she met Kate Wheatly, another server at the bar, and the two young women became best-friends-forever. But their work relationship abruptly ended their boss took offense to Lucy’s response to customer who got handsy with her. But her boss doesn’t appreciate her rejection of his customer’s interest and fires her. Now, as a 26-year-old, talented and beautiful, dark-haired woman with big brown eyes, Lucy has had to learn to negotiate the vagaries of life and the predatory ways of men. And when things go south for Lucy’s employment, her friend Kate steps in and recommends Lucy for a job at McLeod Capital Investment where brother Ethan is an officer.
But Lucy is not the only person who is a part of a dysfunctional family. Kate and her brother Ethan are members of an equally toxic family that undermines both siblings’ lives. But the major difference between the family experiences of Lucy and the Wheatley siblings is money. Ethan and Kate are the children of generational wealth, but their mom and dad where kind and loving. However, when their parents were killed in a car accident Wheatley siblings went to live with their grandfather, a man who saw his grandchildren as tokens in a game of his construction and to which only he knew the rules. But now, as young adults, the siblings are challenging grandfather’s rules and visions of his role in their futures, but now, Kate 26 and Ethan 29 are ready to fight back.
Ajme Williams has created a group of friends who are family and family who are friends all of whom engage the reader’s imagination and heart. I’ve now read 4 of the 5 novels and am looking forward to reading the last!

Ethan Wheatly should be the CEO of Wheatly Corp when his grandfather retires unfortunately it's not a shoo-in since his grandfather is making him jump threw hoops. He's pitting him against his cousin Trent who is nothing but a jerk and overgrown bully. In the meantime his is working for MacLeod Capital Investments to gain more experience to show his grandfather he's the correct choice. While eating lunch with his sister Kate he tries to convince her to come get a job with him but she insists she's happy where she is since walked away from their grandfathers hateful ways. But asks him to help her best friend Lucy who was just fired for punching a touchy feely jerk at the bar they worked in. She explains she's an artist and graphic designer. He tells his sister to her his business card and call him to set up an interview.
Lucy has had a difficult life growing up but through it all she is still full of life, free-spirited, kind and giving. Her dream is to be a successful artist but life and finances have put her dreams on hold. Her friend Kate lets her know her brother will give her an interview for the graphic design position at MacLeod Capital Investment she just needed to call. On her way to the interview she runs into trouble and misses the bus which makes her late which causes her to rush to catch the closing elevator but the guy in the elevator lets it close which provokes her to lash out and cuss at him. When she finally gets to her interview she is shocked to see it's the man she cussed at when he let the elevator door close. To say the least the interview didn't go as planned and she left convinced she wouldn't get the job. When Bridget the bosses wife sees her work she tells Ethan to hire her. While at work Ethan get a call from his demanding grandfather about the big project in Cairo he wants his help on but once again he has to taunt him that they only want to work with people who are married so he'll probably have to have his cousin Trent go. What was supposed to be a platonic agreement soon turns into a steamy one when they can't deny their attraction. Unfortunately Ethan has only wants one thing to focus on taking over his family's company so he tells her it was a mistake. She is devastated especially after learning she is pregnant. Can he get his priorities straight before it's too late or will he throw away an opportunity for love and family to make his grandfather happy?

I am loving this series, this is book 2, this is Lucy and Ethan's story.
We had seen Ethan in Dane and Bridget's book, he was working for Dane to get more experience so he could take over his family business from his Grandfather, that was his focus in life.
Lucy was fired from her job as a bar maid for punching someone that had grabbed her, she didn't know what she was going to do, but her friend Kate said her brother was looking for a graphic designer and Lucy was a good artist and had done graphic design so the interview was set up. On the day of the interview Lucy gets held up by her drug addict mother and arrived late, running for the elevator the man inside doesn't stop it for her so she calls him some choice words only to find that the man she insulted was of course Ethan
Ethan desperately wants the Cairo project to show what he can do, until his grandfather says that they really want someone that was married, not thinking he introduced Lucy who was in his office as his fiancée and soon to be wife, so they strike the deal for the fake marriage.
the more time they spend together the more real their relationship becomes, can they pull it off? will they get their HEA, read this amazing book and see, although it can be read as a standalone I would really recommend reading Twin Secrets, Dane and Bridget's book first.
I am really looking forward to reading Archer and Lane's story.
This is the 2nd story in the Billionaire Secrets series and we get to be a part of Ethan and Lucy’s journey to finding love. Ethan’s one goal in life is to prove to his crabby grandfather he’s the right man to take over the family business and will do whatever is necessary. Ethan ends up really married to Lucy in a sham marriage and they head off to Cairo for work with his grandfather. Things go great for 2 weeks then Lucy goes home alone and things go from a chance at a real marriage to a business deal as originally planned. Ethan learns he’ll never get the family business and how important others in his life mean to him and takes the necessary steps to show Lucy. Shortly after he gets turned upside down and pushes Lucy and their chance away. Lucy has not had an easy childhood and has learned to take care of herself early on realizes she needs to move forward to helping her mother and getting her career and life in order. You have to love Kate and what she says to Ethan about his choices. I look forward to reading Lane and Archer’s story. Ethan and Lucy will have stuck reading there story until the end. Lucy was just getting by with work and her life wasn't the best. When she gets fired as a bar waitress her best friend, Kate tells her maybe she can help her get another job. Ethan doesn't know what to do to help his sister, Kate but when she tells him about her best friend needing a job he decides to interview her. The day of the interview Lucy arrives late and Ethan doesn't want to hire her. Hours later, Lucy can't believe it she gets an email saying she's gotten the job. After she starts to work she notices how handsome Ethan truly is but is shocked when he asks her to fake a marriage with him. Ethan wants nothing more than to take over his family's company but his grandfather won't give up. When Lucy and Ethan get married they agree that nothing will come out of the marriage but nothing works as you plan. Weeks later Lucy has fallen in love but believes Ethan doesn't love her. To make matters more difficult Licy finds out she's pregnant. How is Lucy going to deliver the news of a surprise baby to Ethan? Is Ethan going to reveal his true feelings for Lucy and will he be happy about the baby?
Just a Sham. This book was fantastic! I enjoyed this book. It was so heartwarming and loving. The characters will touch your heart in such a way that will leave you feeling the love they shared. Lucy was a struggling artist. Her best friend, Kate, asked her brother to get her a job at his company. Ethan was immediately taken by her. Once on the job they kept their distance. Ethan was haunted by a dream he wanted that included taking over his family's company soon. But he needed to get his grandfather's approval to become the CEO. His grandfather disapproved of Ethan and his sister Kate and made life difficult for them. Ethan thought if he had a wife and settled down, that his grandfather would be pleased and make him the successor of the company. Unfortunately, that made Ethan do some crazy things just so he could beat his grandfather at his on game. The drive to be the successor nearly destroyed Ethan and the relationship he had built with Lucy, even though it started off fake in the beginning just so Ethan could become CEO of his father's legacy.! I really enjoyed reading this story. Ethan and Lucy couldn’t be more different if they tried but the moment they meet, the sparks FLY! He is an uptight executive deadest on fulfilling the potential his father never reached. She is just trying to get by and find a way to make a living doing her art. A small lie turns into hot nights and that’s when everything changes for the better. Just A Sham is a fun and sexy read. There is lots of steam. Lots. Ethan and Lucy can’t seem to get enough of each other, but between the sexy times there is so much more. Ethan is sweet and generous when he allows himself to take a break from his laser focus on his future goals. Lucy brings fun and color and a different perspective into his life that he sorely needs. Together they are unstoppable, but Ethan just can’t get away from pursuing his one goal, to lead his family’s company. Kate was a great side character, providing humor and snark when the story really needed it. Dane and Bridget were great and I’ll probably go back and read their love story. But let’s talk about Lane b/c I really can’t wait to find out her story! As with most Ajme Williams books, I enjoyed the whole bumpy ride from beginning to end.
Just a Sham is the second book in the Billionaire Secrets series and I love being back with so many characters we've met before. This is Lucy and Ethan's story and is told by them in alternating chapters.
There's a lot of heat along with family and friends, businesses, jobs and careers, angst, secrets, lies, crimes committed, romance, loving and love. Lucy and Ethan's sister are best friends and Kate is woven throughout. She doesn't appreciate some of the things kept from her and dislikes her grandfather and cousin who seem to do everything in their power to make Ethan's life miserable. Ethan has to decide what's important in his life and grab it with both hands.
The story has a nice flow and good closure. I loved the epilogue and extended epilogue that gives us a hint of the next book in the series. Can't wait for more!
Ms. Williams is an author who takes me out of my comfort zone with the heat factor but her stories always have heart and I keep coming back for more.

When Lucy shows up for an interview with her friend's brother Ethan nothing goes right, and she is almost positive that she won't be hired. However, later that evening she gets an email letting her know she got the job. Ethan is having trouble with his grandfather and the next client he was trying to get. The client seems to lead toward married settles man and Ethan is neither of those things. During a skype call with his grandfather he tells him that he is engaged and calls Lucy over to introduce her as his fiancé. Lucy is stunned and doesn't understand what is going on. Ethan takes her to dinner to explain everything and she agrees to help. What neither expected was for real feelings to become involved. Will the admit how they feel before its too late?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Lucy is a strong woman who has overcome a lot. She tries to find the bright side of l8fe and is grateful for what she has, which is very little. Ethan comes from money and is trying desperately to get control of his family's company from his grandfather. It is his obsession. Kate is Ethan's sister and Lucy's bff. Ethan and Lucy are attracted to each other but they are truly from different worlds. When Ethan propositions Lucy with a sham marriage and money, she accepts. But can their feelings really stay put of their marriage? Will Ethan throw it all away because 9f his drive to have the family compan? Enjoyed the story was a little disappointed when Lane, who stood up at their wedding later in the book was surprised they were actually married.
Lucy and Ethan are the focus of this story. Lucy needs a job and ends up working for Ethan, she gets a little more than she bargained for and the next thing she knows, she's playing along when he tells his grandfather she's his fiancee. They get married with the understanding there will be a divorce.
The chemistry between them makes things heat up quickly and fake starts to feel real. Lucy is already questioning where she stands when she realizes she's pregnant and Ethan's reaction only makes it worse.
Their tale is full of emotional angst that will have readers hoping there will be a happy ending. I received an advanced copy of this story from BookSprout and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
Ethan Wheatly, works for MacLoud Investments to prove to his grandfather he can run the family real estate business. He's worked toward this goal since his father died. Stubbornly thinks it's what his father would want, him taking over his fathers legacy. Charles Wheatly, Ethan's grandfather, is a crusty, unemotional, manipulating liar. Lucy Andrews is Ethan's sister Kate's best friend, unemployed, broke, drug addict mother, and artistic. To fulfill his dreams, Ethan needs a wife, Fake of course, to appease his grandfather. Since he has tingly, electric feelings for Lucy, he propositions her to be his fake wife. This is their story.

In this book we meet Lucy & Ethan. Lucy is in need of a job and so she goes to her friend's brother and trys to get a job as a graphic designer. The only problem with this is Ethan himself. Ethan can't believe how beautiful Lucy is and first and foremost is why he doesn't want to hire her. When the boss's wife sees her work she knows a good thing when she sees it. Ethan also believes this is a stepping stone into what he really wants. What happens though when feelings change will he still fight for his original goal or will something more important make him change?
Another amazing story from this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Another great book in Ajme William's series Billionaire Secrets. I thought book one was great and this book two was just as good if not better then book one. Ethan want to take over the family business when his grandfather retires. He is doing everything he can to prove to his grandfather he is the one to do it. But, there is one thing that is against him he is not married. In an impulsive move he introduces Lucy, a co-worker, to his grandfather via a video call as his fiancé. Ms. Williams does an excellent job with these two characters.

I liked Ethan in the previous book and like him more now (other than when his head was up his rear). He has tunnel vision for what he wants until Lucy shakes it up for him. Lucy has literally ever had anything so has never expected anything. She really has one friend at the beginning of the story. Kate is definitely a character. I like how physically intense Ethan and Lucy could be together. I am also glad Lane’s backstory is introduced. There are a couple big plot holes, one of which involves Lane and the wedding.

This is a story that has ripped heart apart. Ethan and Lucy's relationship gave me whiplash of what they thought they wanted and want their heart told them.
Lucy is Ethan's sister's friend. He offered her a job and was taken by her but kept his distance. Put wants and desire to please his grandfather in to play, Ethan hopes a marriage will give more footing to stand on. Lucy and Ethan's story takes twists that will keep you on the edge of you seat as you watch them give their hearts and wants over to each other.

This was a great read. Lucy was strong and determined. She has spent her whole life overcoming the odds. Ethan was a strong character too. He has been battling for his grandfather's respect but getting manipulated by the old codger. Ethan and Lucy have amazing chemistry and compliment each other in so many ways. Getting married to fool his grandfather backfired in a wonderful way. Read this to see how Lucy and Ethan make their crazy sham of a wedding into a real marriage.

Lucy is best friend with Kate and she needs a job. Kates brother Ethan hires her and everything is perfect. But he needs a wife because of his grandfather and Lucy accept the offer to be married to him for a couple of months. But suddenly their marriage is not fake anymore. But Ethan will do everything to take over his grandfather’s company and doesn’t have time for a wife. Will he in the end make the right decision or will he loose the love of his life? A fantastic book. I really enjoyed it. It had it all. Funny, romantic and exciting. I really enjoyed it
Ethan had always wanted to take over his family’s company, willing to do anything to prove his worth. Telling his grandfather he was engaged brought Lucy into his schemes. Newly hired at his workplace and his sister’s best friend she worried what would happen. Ethan’s scheme was too good for her to pass on. Being married showed both Ethan and Lucy what they had been missing. Priorities needed to be evaluated for love to flourish.

The Reality Of Pretending - Once again I am completely blown away by Ajme Williams talent for storytelling and the way she makes the reader feel like they are part of the story. Each page turn flows smoothly like scenes unfolding in a movie and the storyline took me through a myriad of emotions, but left me really happy that the main characters got their happily ever after. This was an intriguing story, that was definitely worth the time it took me to finish reading it.

Ethan and Lucy met through mutual friends. Ethan was forced to hire Lucy and let her know his doubts in her ability. Lucy felt he was a snob and was determined to prove him wrong. Ethan was determined to be the successor of his grandfather's company. With his obsession, he was willing to do what he felt was necessary which included using Lucy. I felt Ethan and his sister, Kate, were very immature. Sounding overly bitter instead of moving forward with their lives. I was happy how Ethan handled the financial information.
Ethan wants to take control over the family business but his grandfather isn’t ready to give him the reigns, especially since he isn’t married. Lucy has a mom who is an addict and takes all of her extra money. When Ethan offers her a hundred thousand dollars to be his temporary wife she can’t say no. Feelings weren’t supposed to be involved and who said anything about a baby! What will Ethan do?.

Ajme grabbed my attention from the beginning to the end with Ethan and Lucy’s story. As always, a well written storyline with great mc. I was all into the feelings of Lucy and Ethan but Ajme knows how to make you feel that way with her style of writing. Great chemistry between these two and you can’t help but root for them to find their HEA.
