This is a deeply moving biography of Charles T Studd, who has devoted his life to missionary work, and done pioneering work in China, India, and Africa (today’s Congo). He has inspired many generations to follow his footsteps to be missionaries.

C.T. Studd was educated in Cambridge University and an excellent cricket player. He was born in a wealthy family. But he gave all of that up, living in poverty in the mission field. He donated all of his inheritance, following Jesus’ teaching to the letter.

It’s deeply inspiring to see a man who renounced material comfort and simply trust God and live a life based teachings from Bible. In him, I can see Saint Francis. The work done by CT Studd has many fruits. Today Congo has 90% population as Christians. CT Studd also created World Evangelization Crusade, sending out missionaries to a dozen countries.

This book is well written, easy to read and small in size. Highly recommend this book.
