Phantom Warriors #2

Phantom Warriors: Saber-tooth

Rate this book
PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED--RE-EDITED & EXPANDED with Sneak Peeks

Katy Manfred is tired of being sent on wild goose chases by her boss. This latest job is no exception. He wants her to go to La Brea Tar Pits to trap a saber-tooth tiger. Talk about an impossible task! They haven’t existed for over eleven thousand years.

The hunter is about to become the hunted.

Kegar knew he shouldn’t have shape-shifted and snuck off the Phantom warrior spaceship without permission, but he was eager to begin his search for a mate. The last thing he expected was to be shot in the flank by a beautiful blonde female bent on making a science project out of him.

Awake and naked in his human form, Kegar finds the woman of his dreams bending over him. What’s a feline in heat to do? Why pounce of course. He only has a few hours to convince this professional tracker that she’s his perfect mate. It’ll take all Kegar’s sensual skill to bring out the hidden wild cat in Katy. Luckily, he’s more than up to the task.

This title contains adult language, explicit sex, and rough sex. In other words...sex! Also contains themes of fast seduction, which might offend some readers.

The author writes an intoxicating tale that is drenched in sexuality. Katy is indeed an ideal match for Kegar, a mate, and a partner in every way. This novella will leave you purr-fectly satisfied.—ParaNormal Romance Reviews

Phantom Warriors 2: Saber-Tooth is a paranormal with bite. This quick-read starts with a wild report of a saber-tooth tiger sighting and the pace never slows down from there! Katy is a likable heroine who is very self-sufficient and smart. The fact she immediately feels lusty attraction to Kegar is explained very well. Her personality fits the fact that she throws caution to the wind and goes for it with him almost instantly. Kegar is a luscious hero, otherworldly but also sensitive toward his chosen mate. The heat these two generate in and out of bed is fierce! Kegar is overwhelmingly sexy but Katy stands up to him. She makes her own choices, rather than just be swept off her feet. With a brash ex-boyfriend threatening the pair, there is enough action to keep the pages turning fast to get to the end. I hope there will be more stories about these intriguing hunters from Zaron. With Saber-Tooth, Ms Summers wrote a steamy, entertaining shape-shifter story that is just right. –JERR
Wow, this was a scorching story that was steeped in carnality. I adored the play between Katy and Kegar. With her body screaming one thing and her mind another Katy did a fantastic job of trying to weigh her choices in unimaginable circumstances. I am disappointed that I missed the first in this series and have got to go shopping. Kegar is definitely a cat I’d love to have curled up on my hearth at home. I will be looking for more in this series.—Fallen Angel Reviews

This sexy sequel to Bacchus will definitely leave you satisfied. Kegar is an extremely sexy alpha male that knows what he wants and goes after it. His raw sex appeal and feral nature are enticing and very arousing. Katy is strong and sensible and as she succumbs to their chemical attraction, she doesn’t lose her sense of self and instead gains a deeper insight into her own nature and desires. Jordan Summers has delivered a fantastic tale that’ll have you watching the skies in search of your own Phantom Warrior!--Two Lips Reviews

Pretty good book, though be aware it is on the shorter side. Still, enjoyable and the fate of Roger was funny.

Great read

It honestly was not what I expected and I loved it still. I kinda wish it was longer but I think I can live with just having to read the series ^_^

Another short short, less than 50 pages.
That Roger is a bastard & should have been killed before he does any more damage than he's already done.

(Explícito) Igual de absurdo que el libro anterior pero casi nada de romántico esta vez. Lectura demasiado corta, no lo volvería a leer. No lo recomiendo.

Pretty short story, according to my Kindle it was actually over at like 65% and the rest of the book were the first chapters of other books by the author. That annoyed me.

This one is about Kegar, a Phantom Warrior who takes the shape of a saber-tooth tiger. He apparently sneaks off the ship to find his mate, although that's all the info you're given (sooo...why did he feel the need to do this?), and he is trying to find her before the ship finds him and hauls his rump back. He, again for some unknown reason, goes to La Brea Tar Pits. WHAT?! At least in the other books the guys go to some out of the way place that calls to their animal souls...but seriously, in a L.A. tourist trap Kegar? Really? WTF?

Anywho, he goes there. He gets seen by tourists and the media is all over it. Because you know, saber-tooth tigers haven't EXISTED for 11,000 years-ish. Of course it causes a ruckus. That's when Katy is called in, a tracker for a bio-tech firm. Once again, bio-tech; the big-bad. If the news reports are real Katy's boss (who's an ass) wants to run testing on the animal. Thinking it's a big hoax, she goes out there and to her surprise, finds him.

He speaks to her telepathically, she thinks she is hearing things and tranqs him. When she gets him back to her place (she wants to make sure he is real before bringing him into work) she finds a naked dude in the cage instead of the tiger. Oops.

Kegar is all about claiming her as his mate, he throws off some pheromones that convince Katy, mating happens. Then it's a very short hop to the ship and it's the end of the story. Too short!

Katy's boss is always sending her on wild goose chases. He also happens to be her ex. She is tired but what is she to do? She needs the job and won't give him the satisfaction of him making her quit. When she gets a call to retrieve a Saber-tooth tiger she is doubtful that is what it is. They are extinct. Little does she know that when she gets to the Tar Pit that is exactly what she will find.

Kegar snuck off the ship. He knew he shouldn't but he is excited about the prospect of finding his mate. He really knows he shouldn't have shifted. That was made clear when a woman shoots him in the leg with a Tranq gun. Next thing he knows he wakes up naked with his mate bending over him. He doesn't have a lot of time. So he has to make sure that she is his mate and get her to agree to leave with him within a couple of hours.

This was a great book! I thought that the author put yet another unique spin in her book. Not only is he an alien/shifter. His other form is a Saber-tooth Tiger. While it is a short story it flowed really well. You are able to like Katy and Kegar's characters and really dislike the ex. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Nice short read

It was well written. Didn't give a lot of backstory but still explained itself fairly well. A good short read.

A page turner

A real page Turner. I could not set the book down. There are a few errors that distract from the story.
